Marriage Loan Queues in Hamadan to Reach Zero by End of Mehr
Hamadan – Deputy Speaker of the Islamic Consultative Assembly said: This year, thanks to the efforts of bank heads and ongoing follow-up, it has been decided that marriage loan queues will reach zero by the end of Mehr.
According to the report of Ambassador Arjan Hamidreza Haji Babaei, in the specialized event of Saba focusing on the marriage matching plan, referring to the status of marriage loan payments and infertility facilities in Hamedan province, he stated: "Last year, we witnessed a lot of resistance in this field, but this year, with the efforts of the heads of banks and continuous follow-up, it was decided that by the end of October, the number of queues for marriage loans will be zero, and we predict that Hamedan will be among the first three provinces in the country in terms of marriage loan payments."
He stated that since mid-August of this year and in the last follow-up session, 6 thousand people were in line to receive marriage loans, adding: Fortunately, this number is now close to zero.
In another part of his speech, the Vice Chairman of the Islamic Council pointed to the field of housing and the removal of construction obstacles in Hamedan and said: Hamedan, with a population of about 800 thousand people and an area of more than 12 thousand hectares, faced a severe shortage of land for construction during the past 2 decades, and this year, this challenge was overcome with the efforts of the executive bodies and the holding of weekly settlement meetings.
Referring to large housing projects in the province, Haji Babaei stated: Shahid Shadmani settlement with 320 hectares of area and 10,000 four-story plots has the capacity to accommodate 40,000 people, of which 300 hectares have been acquired so far.
He stated: Also, 100,000 residential units are under construction in Darim province, including 11,000 units in Koi Faraz and 430,000 square meters of land in Mehdishahr to accommodate 80,000 people.
The Vice Chairman of the Islamic Council noted that with the cooperation of institutions such as the Relief Committee, the Engineering Society, Endowments, and the military and law enforcement forces, valuable measures have been taken, including giving free land to the Relief Committee for the construction of 500 units for those seeking help and 500 government units.
He added: Also, according to the proposal of Awqaf, construction of 1000 small-scale residential units will be implemented with the provision of land and credit from this organization, and the municipality is also an active participant in this direction along with other complexes.
Haji Babaei stressed that marriage problems cannot be solved only by providing loans and housing, and noted: Unfortunately, we have done little in the cultural and educational fields, and if we tie all marriage issues to money and financial issues, we have made a big mistake.
Emphasizing that planning for marriage should start from childhood, he added: Between 30 and 70 percent of marriage problems have cultural and educational roots, and it is necessary to make serious efforts and planning in this field to minimize the obstacles to family formation at a young age.
