Coolpad will soon introduce the world's first Android phone with a wide screen so that users can have a different experience from smartphones at an affordable price.
While Huawei previously introduced the Pura X View phone with a wide screen and HarmonyOS operating system, Coolpad is now preparing to launch an affordable Android alternative. The move could bring the unusual widescreen form factor to a wider market of Android smartphones. Such a move would provide access to new technologies for more consumers.
Specifications and design of Coolpad wide screen
Coolpad will launch its new phone in China in October for 999 yuan (about $150). This device has a 6.3-inch LCD display with a resolution of 720p and an aspect ratio of 16:10, which gives it a wider appearance than common smartphones. Its design includes a thicker bottom bezel and a capsule-shaped horizontal camera module on the back panel with a similar texture to the Huawei Pura X View.

Performance and operating system based on artificial intelligence
This Android phone will be equipped with a MediaTek Helio G99 processor (made with TSMC's 6nm process), which is suitable for the economic segment of the market. The DroiClaw Zhuge 3 operating system is also natively developed with artificial intelligence and for the 10:16 wide screen to provide an optimal user interface. This low-cost device could make widescreen Android phones more accessible to buyers compared to the Huawei Pura X View (priced at 5,999 yuan).
