Federal Agents Raid Home of Trump Critic Rep. Ilhan Omar (Video)

Federal agents raided Ilhan Omar's home in an immigration fraud investigation, prompting her to accuse Trump of political retaliation.

US federal agents raided the home of Democratic Congressman Ilhan Omar, whom President Donald Trump has repeatedly accused of immigration fraud.

Omar, an American citizen born in Somalia, is a staunch critic of Trump's policies and a supporter of Palestinian rights. Officers were filmed searching his home in Washington, D.C., on Monday morning.

Without naming Omar, the Department of Justice (DOJ) confirmed that Department of Homeland Security investigators had executed a court-authorized search warrant as part of an ongoing criminal investigation. A senior White House official told The Washington Post that Omar's residence was searched as part of an investigation into possible immigration fraud.

Omar wrote on X after the attack: "I'm fine. Make no mistake: this is an attempt to target political enemies and arm federal law enforcement." He accused Trump of using "baseless lies and smear campaigns" as a tool for "political intimidation."

🚨 UPDATE: After more than 5 hours, DHS has now completed its raid on DC Ilhan Omar's home.

Several vans and SUVs were filled with boxes upon boxes from inside the house

Asked about the search later that day, Trump described Omar as "completely cranky" but denied responsibility for the attack. "I think he's a terrible person. But that's really up to the Justice Department. I have nothing to do with that." Trump also argued that Omar entered the United States from "a non-state."
