The Peugeot RCZ Vision concept with a stunning appearance has introduced to the world an all-electric coupe with 500 horsepower and the use of advanced solid-state battery technology.
Peugeot, the French car manufacturer, unveiled the new RCZ Vision concept, which previews the future of the brand in design, technology and driving experience. This electric sports coupe will represent Peugeot's new Feline Future design language, which is supposed to shape the company's future models and push the boundaries of innovation in the automotive industry. Combining dramatic design and next-generation cabin technology, the concept features a solid-state battery developed in collaboration with Factorial Energy.
A stunning look inspired by the past
The Peugeot RCZ Vision concept is designed with a low height, muscular shoulders and a cabin with slim windows that contrast with its chiseled body. It brings back the distinctive Zagato-inspired twin-bubble roof that commemorates the original RCZ model. At the same time, its optical signature reinterprets Peugeot's familiar three-pronged motif with very narrow horizontal elements at either end. An active rear spoiler also opens when the car is moving.
The wheels are 21 inches in the front and 22 inches in the back, and for more stability at high speeds, the color used in them is recycled aluminum, which also contributes to the stability of this concept. The Peugeot RCZ Vision's aerodynamic shape and ultra-thin battery make its energy consumption reach 11.5 kWh per 100 km.
Advanced technical specifications: solid state battery and 500 horsepower
Peugeot RCZ Vision uses a solid-state battery with a thickness of only 110 mm, which works with an electrical architecture of 1000 volts. This innovative configuration promises a great range of up to 600 km and a 10-80% charge in just 10 minutes. This car displays a very powerful performance with a stunning power of 500 horsepower. Peugeot has not yet announced the type of power transmission (rear axle or all-wheel drive), but given the high power, it is expected to be an option other than front-wheel drive. With dimensions including 4.65 meters in length, 1.94 meters in width and only 1.35 meters in height, the Peugeot RCZ Vision provides a wide and low profile with a powerful presence on the road.
Futuristic cabin and new technologies
The concept also previews Peugeot's next-generation i-Cockpit, featuring Hypersquare steering wheel controls and clear micro-LED displays. Instead of covering the dashboard with large screens, Peugeot is looking for a less distracting information configuration. The central display can even be turned off and disappear into the dashboard when not needed. Peugeot claims that the concept uses the same production version of the unusual Hypersquare steering control that is planned for the next-generation Peugeot e-208. Combining this system with steering-by-wire technology eliminates the mechanical connection between the steering wheel and the front wheels, making low-speed maneuvers easier, while adjusting the steering ratio for greater stability at high speeds.
The Peugeot RCZ Vision also introduces brake-by-wire technology that replaces the traditional hydraulic connection between the brake pedal and the brakes with electronic control, improving brake modulation and integration with regenerative braking. Level 2++ automated driving, including hands-free driving, is another part of the concept's technology showcase.

Inside, the four-seater cabin aims for the feel of a grand tourer rather than the feel of a secluded racing car. The Peugeot Alcantara combines recycled leather, machined aluminum and a light blue paint scheme, while the rear seats can accommodate two adults and fold flat to increase cargo capacity. A clock developed in collaboration with French watchmaker SERICA also adds a traditional feel to the mostly futuristic interior. Peugeot insists that the RCZ Vision is a preview of the company's future, not a definitive promise of mass production.
