Imam Juma Paveh: National interests come before political friendships
Kermanshah - Imam Juma Paveh stressed the necessity of vigilance against foreign pressures and divisive policies, paying attention to national interests, preserving unity and addressing people's problems as the main duties of officials.
According to the report of Mehr reporter, Haj Mamosta Mullah Qadiri, in his Friday prayer sermons this week of Paveh, 24 October 1405, referring to the political and security developments in the region, relations between world powers and the internal issues of the country, emphasized the need to be vigilant against external threats, maintain social cohesion and pay attention to the demands of the people.
Referring to what he called seven months of threats, intimidation and siege against the Islamic Republic of Iran, Imam Juma Paveh said: Donald Trump's words have been contradictory many times during this period and the continued pressure has created difficult conditions for the country.
Referring to the role of America in the developments in the Middle East, he clarified: Israel is an American outpost in the Middle East, otherwise there would be no Israelis.
Mamosta Qadri also warned against possible attempts to create differences between Shiites and Sunnis and said: The officials of Iran, Yemen and Saudi Arabia should be careful that religious differences do not become a tool to advance the goals of foreign powers.
Emphasizing the Iranian nation's resistance to external pressures, he added: The people of the country have faced numerous threats and pressures in the years after the victory of the Islamic Revolution, but they have continued on their path, and the officials should make the right decisions and prioritize addressing the community's livelihood problems.
In another part of his speech, Imam Juma Paveh, referring to a sentence attributed to Winston Churchill, the former Prime Minister of Britain, about the impermanence of friendships and enmities in politics and the importance of interests, considered this point of view worthy of consideration.
To explain this, he pointed to the war between Russia and Ukraine and relations between Moscow and Washington and said: During the three years of war, Iran was accused of supporting Moscow and Western pressures and sanctions due to its relations with Russia, while America and Western countries supported Ukraine.
Referring to the phone call between Donald Trump and Vladimir Putin on October 17, Mamosta Qadri said: "This call showed that the great powers, by changing their conditions and considerations, may reorganize their relations and not prioritize former companions."
He pointed out that neither Iran's relations with Russia nor America's support for Ukraine is a guarantee for the permanent adherence of these countries to the interests of their allies. Therefore, the officials of the Islamic Republic of Iran should prioritize the national interests, the country's honor and the interests of the people in their decisions by recognizing the realities of the international system.
Referring to the security incidents and assassinations in recent months in Sistan and Baluchistan, Imam Juma Paveh considered the martyrdom of a number of security forces, religious scholars and people as regrettable and condemned the assassination of Dr. Nusrat Eftekhari and Afsana Aqila in Zahedan.
He described the targeting of women as an unacceptable action and said: despite the numerous assassinations that occurred in different parts of the country in the years after the revolution, targeting women is a highly condemned action. Qadri also emphasized the necessity of maintaining security and preventing the spread of violence and disputes in the region.
Referring to the published reports about the restriction of hijab in the schools of the Republic of Azerbaijan and the exclusion of some veiled students and teachers from attending educational environments, he considered this issue worthy of consideration.
Referring to the fact that the majority of the population of the Republic of Azerbaijan is Muslim, Mamosta Qadri said: Reports have been published about restrictions on the hijab in the country's schools and the creation of obstacles for the continued education of students and the activities of veiled teachers.
Imam Juma Paveh stated that some girls have even accepted deprivation of education in order to maintain their hijab, and considered this as a sign of the importance of religious beliefs and Islamic clothing for them.
By comparing this situation with the cultural conditions of the Iranian society, he raised the question why in a society with an Islamic background and identity, sometimes the recommendations related to the hijab face a negative reaction, while some girls in the Republic of Azerbaijan, despite the background of the communist government in this country, stand up to protect their veil.
He emphasized the role of families, scholars and cultural activists in educating the young generation, strengthening religious knowledge and explaining Islamic values.
Congratulating Nurses' Day, Mamosta Qadri appreciated the services and sacrifices of nurses in hospitals and medical centers and considered the efforts of this group during the Corona epidemic as one of the outstanding manifestations of sacrifice and service.
He congratulated the nurses on this day and wished them health, happiness and success.
Referring to a hadith from the Prophet of Islam about the role of scholars and rulers in reforming or corrupting society, Imam Juma Paweh said: The religious, moral and social health of society depends to a large extent on the performance of religious leaders and officials.
He added: Coordination, compassion and responsibility of scholars can help to improve the conditions of the society, but differences, division and mutual excommunication among them will have negative effects on the people.
Teacher Qadri also considered the honesty, service and compassion of the officials as factors in reducing the problems of the society and by criticizing the performance of some officials and clerics, she called for increased responsibility, monitoring and practical attention to the demands of the people.
Referring to a speech of Hazrat Ali (may God be pleased with him), he emphasized the necessity of choosing the path of moderation in personal and social life and said: extremism and extremism do not have a desirable result, and moving in the path of moderation can provide the context for extremists to return to moderation and accompany indifferent people with reforming and building society.
In the final part of his sermons, Imam Juma Paveh, referring to verses 151 and 152 of Surah An'am, addressed five other commandments from the set of ten Quranic commandments for individual and social life; According to him, some of the commandments were explained in last Friday's sermon.
By explaining the concepts of verse 152 of Surah An'am, he emphasized the necessity of protecting the property of orphans until they grow up, observing justice in weights and measures, paying attention to people's ability to do their homework, justice in speech and testimony even about relatives, and loyalty to God's covenant.
Referring to the problems of the market and people's complaints about high prices and violations in transactions, Mamosta Qadri considered it necessary to comply with the orders of the Quran in this area and said: disregarding fairness in buying and selling and not observing weights and measures shows the need for more supervision and adherence to religious teachings.
He added: If the sellers and market operators consider God as the supervisor of their behavior and transactions, many violations will be reduced. Because observing fairness and justice in transactions is a religious and social responsibility.
In the end, Imam Juma Paveh expressed his hope that the implementation of these Quranic commands will provide the basis for reforming social relations, strengthening morals, and increasing security and trust in the society.
