Zanjan Police Launch Nightly Crackdown on Noisy and Offending Vehicles
Zanjan – The head of Zanjan Province's traffic police announced the ongoing nightly crackdown on vehicles with illegal noise levels, saying violations such as zigzag driving and unauthorized speeding are being prosecuted under the operation.
Zanjan- The head of traffic police of Zanjan province announced the continuous implementation of the night plan to deal with noisy vehicles and said: In this plan, violations such as spiral movements and illegal speed will be dealt with.
According to Mehr reporter, Colonel Seyyed Habibullah Mousavi told reporters on Thursday afternoon, referring to the implementation of traffic police monitoring plans at the provincial level, that dealing with noisy vehicles at night is on the agenda of the police, and during the implementation of this plan, the officers also deal with other violations that cause traffic accidents.
Stating that spiraling movements and illegal speed are among the violations of concern in this plan, he added that the traffic police will continue to implement monitoring plans and deal with violators with the aim of improving traffic safety and reducing risky driving behaviors.
The traffic police chief of Zanjan province considered the disproportionality of some traffic crimes with the type of violation as one of the factors that reduce the deterrence of the laws and clarified: the fines related to some violations, including making car noise and illegal speed, are not enough to prevent drivers from repeating the violation, and the fine limit for some of these cases is about 500 thousand tomans.
Mousavi expressed his hope: with the follow-ups carried out in the legal authorities and increasing the amount of crimes in proportion to the violations, it will be possible to deal more effectively with the offending drivers and the ground for reducing traffic violations in the province will be provided.
He emphasized on the continuation of traffic police control plans and said: the cooperation of the media in creating traffic culture, increasing the responsibility of drivers and informing citizens can play an effective role in reducing violations and improving traffic safety.
