A new report claims that the PC version of GTA 6 will launch in early 2027, and fans believe that Rockstar Games plans to outdo a possible emulator.

The news comes from GamesBeat, which says that Rockstar plans to release the PC version of GTA 6 in the "first quarter of 2027." This claim was made by quoting four well-informed sources in the game industry who are familiar with the studio's plans and all of them asked not to be named to avoid damaging their business relationships.

Of course, this report should be viewed with skepticism, as Rockstar has yet to make any official mention of a PC version of the game. However, fans are already theorizing about the possible reasons why the PC version was released only a few months after the PS5 and Xbox versions; And that's in a situation where the PC version of GTA 5 arrived about two years after the console versions.

Many have pointed out that Rockstar pushed the release date of the PC version to avoid a possible emulator for the PS5; An emulator that allows PC owners to access a "PC version" of GTA 6 without having to wait and pay for the official version.

According to one Reddit user, Rockstar knows that their GTA 6 emulator is so popular that they won't wait a year to release the PC version. Another fan has a similar opinion and says:

"GTA 6 will probably be ready to run on the emulator a month after launch. "Now this is almost guaranteed."

Others have pointed to the recent revelations by hacker group Cyberleek, and other fans think that Rockstar has yet to announce a PC release date in order to maximize console sales.

Finally, we'll have to wait for an official announcement from Rockstar, but in the meantime, PS5 and Xbox users won't have to wait too long, as GTA 6 will be released next month on November 19.
