The theater house is facing a serious insurance problem; Where did Vaspari 2 festival go?

The press conference of the CEO of the theater was held with some members of the central board of directors of this complex.

According to the reporter of Mehr, the press conference of the CEO of Theater House was held this morning, 25 Mehr, in the conference hall of Theater House with the presence of some members of the central board of directors of this complex.

Alireza Guillori, CEO of Khane Teatar, Mohammad Bahrami, Mehdi Qala, Majid Qanad, Bahram Ebrahimi and Maryam Rahimi as members of the central board of directors can be mentioned among those present in this meeting.

The meeting started after the recitation of verses from the Holy Quran and the playing of the national anthem of the Islamic Republic of Iran.

Morteza Ranjbaran was in charge of this program.

At first, Mehdi Qala, a member of the board of directors of the Theater House and an activist of children's and youth theater, said: It was suggested that the children's and youth theater festival and the Marivan street theater festival be entrusted to us, but in the case of the children's and youth theater festival, we were not consulted about the selection of the director and the holding process. I suggested to Mr. Atabek Naderi, the general director of performing arts, that we form a bylaw for this festival so that the tasteful approach of each director is not involved in the festival, but Mr. Naderi said that they do not believe in any bylaws and that they proceed in a friendly manner.

8 There is potential for selling theater tickets in Tehran; We do not have a specific policy

Alireza Guillori, CEO of the theater, went on to describe the process of his management period and stated: Since my presence, there have been various consultations with the Minister of Culture and Islamic Guidance and various vice-chairs to entrust these 2 festivals to us, but this cooperation did not happen at the level of middle managers. The Theater House has approximately 4,200 members in Tehran, and the number that was introduced to us by the Vice-Chancellor of Art Affairs at the national level in different provinces is something like 12,000 people, and we limited ourselves to Tehran and reached 4,200 members. In the theater house, we have 17 classes and about 400 specialized meetings are held for different classes a year. There is an important difference between the house of theater and the house of music and cinema, and that is the national elections of various boards of directors. About 2,000 of our members were engaged in at least one project a year in the past year. About 170 performances are staged every night in different theaters in Tehran province, in other words, there are about 50 thousand seats every night in Tehran province, which, including the ticket of 400-500 thousand tomans, there is about 8 hem potential of theater ticket sales.

He added: The sad thing is that the annual budget of the theater is about 150 billion tomans. Who does the ticketing, rail and policy making for these 8 potential tickets? The problem is that in the last 40 years, no specific policies have been made for the country's theater.

There are severe problems in terms of insurance

Maryam Rahimi, a member of the Board of Directors of the Theater House, stated about the insurance issues and problems of the members of the Theater House: Our insurance is 18%, half of which is the responsibility of the insured person and half of which is the responsibility of the Ministry of Culture and Islamic Guidance. From some point on, due to debts to social security insurance, the right to treatment was removed from the insurance, and each person was required to pay the entire amount of the insurance's treatment right. Today's insurance figure for a family of four covered by insurance through the theater channel is a very high amount, in other words, it costs about 7 million Tomans for a family of four.

He added: We tried to reduce this amount and in this regard we had consultations with the Minister of Culture and his managers. But the problem is that the salary floor related to the insurance rate should be increased so that it is practical to pay the insurance amount for the members, but as the salary and salary floor increases, the individual loses the share that the Ministry of Guidance pays for his insurance.

Qala added: The issue of insurance for members of the theater house was discussed in the art credit fund since the time of Mr. Arjamandi, when the 50% share of treatment services for the members of the theater house was cut off by a delinquent manager like him.

Rahimi reminded: We had a lot of losses this year and some members were forced to cancel their insurance due to their inability to pay their insurance premiums.

Qala added: During the war, they promised us that they would pay the members' social security contributions in full for 3 months. So far, not a single person's contribution has been paid.

Majid Qanad, a member of the board of directors of the theater, said while welcoming the audience: If someone became the secretary of a festival like the Children's Festival last year, what is the insistence to change the secretary next year? Why is it not allowed that a secretary has the possibility of being a secretary for 5 years? Why does Sedavsima not assign even one channel and one program to theater out of its 20 channels? During the war, everyone who had a job received a salary, but the theater artists, who did not have the possibility to appear professionally during these days, where should they earn their living? another matter; Every year, thousands of students graduate from theater, where do these students go? In general, the situation is not very interesting and these issues cannot be solved by the theater alone.

The theater production budget was slowly eliminated; The theater house does not have a monitoring tool for ticket pricing

Mohammad Bahrami added about the budget for theater production: a part of the country's theater budget was dedicated to production and this budget was slowly removed. It is customary all over the world that municipalities allocate funds to theater production, but this is not the case today and in our country.

In response to a question about the urban advertisements of the theater, Guillory explained: The municipality of Region 6 has supported us a lot in this field, but another institution in the municipality is very against this issue and believes that the few advertisements around the theater should be collected.

He raised the issue of theater ticket pricing: We held specialized meetings in this field; But do we have monitoring tools? I respectfully say that even the Ministry of Guidance has not fully monitored this issue and does not have a clear policy. We are trying to create sympathek system for theater and concert. I have the consent of all the managers of the Ministry of Culture and Islamic Guidance to launch this system and I think this will happen soon.

Bahram Ebrahimi, in response to another question about the possibility of earning a living from working in the theater, stated: No, this is definitely not possible, once groups were based in the city theater or other halls and worked continuously, at that time this issue was possible for the activists of these groups, but nowadays it is not possible to make a living for a year by participating in one or even 3 theater projects. Once upon a time in the theater administration, various theater agents were known as one worker in one job, but today, with the dissolution of this environment, there is no longer anything called job security.

Where did the issue of the detainees reach? Are decor workshops maintained and established in government spaces?

Guillory explained about those who were arrested in the events of December, who were theater activists: 22 people were arrested in the recent events, of which 21 were released by the time of the trial. I desperately request the judiciary to create an opportunity to hold a meeting with the chairman of this respected authority, and I believe that the conversation will work wonders. We are still monitoring these issues and strongly want to talk with the judiciary. Out of these 22 people, the sentence of some of these people has reached the execution date and they were called, but we are consulting so that we can change the sentences. The miracle of the conversation about an environment like the mansion in front of us shows itself and we see that in the appeals court the verdict is completely changed.

Regarding handing over the theater house to the private sector, he said: We are practically in the private sector, but we do not intend to compete with other private sectors, because the theater house, with 4 thousand members and a connection with the public sector, has facilities that cannot be compared to other private sectors.

Ebrahimi, in response to Mehr reporter's question about the lack of government space for the production and construction of sets for theatrical works and on stage, said: Regarding the set production workshops that used to exist in the state space, I must say firmly that this possibility no longer exists and we should ask the Ministry of Guidance about this.

Guillory added: We followed up on several incidents in this regard; The decoration workshop of the Rudaki Foundation is being pursued by Mr. Shafiei, the deputy minister of culture, and will soon be added to the country's theater cycle. The Artisan Campus, which is being built in the Artisan Park, was supposed to have 3 theaters, and with the consultations that took place, it was decided to turn one of the theaters into a decor workshop, and the relevant authorities accepted this issue with their assistance. Also, regarding the plateau, we used the capacities of building No. 2 of the theater house, and some plateaus are now usable for members, and we are trying to increase the capacity of the plateaus in this environment to 8 plateaus.

In response to Mehr's reporter's other question about the consultations of the theater house in order to maintain and hold the university theater festival, he emphasized: The board of directors of the theater house has approved the holding of this festival and it has been established that even if it was not possible to hold this festival in the previous format, it will be held by the theater house in a different way. The fact is that communicating with the Ministry of Science is very difficult and difficult.
