Dollar Price Today, Monday, 20 Mehr

Dollar, euro, and dirham rates declined in the Tehran market today, while the exchange center is seeing an upward trend in the prices of foreign currency remittances.

According to the report of Sport Seh and quoted by Ambassador Arjan; The currency market witnessed two different signals today. While in the Tehran open market, the US dollar faced a decrease in demand pressure and calmed down in the channel of 262 thousand tomans, a different path was followed in the Iranian exchange center.

Today, the free dollar bill registered a price of 262 thousand tomans, a decrease of 700 tomans compared to the previous day. In line with this trend, the Euro and the UAE dirham also stood at 292 thousand 800 tomans and 71 thousand 300 tomans, respectively, with a slight retreat. Also, each Turkish Lira decreased to 5300 Tomans today.

Foreign exchange experts believe that this relative decrease in the free market is a direct result of the central bank's intervention policies in the foreign exchange market, and especially the increase in the ceiling of selling foreign currency with the National Card to $10,000.

Analysis of the remittance rate situation in the exchange center

On the other side of the square, Iran's exchange center witnessed an upward trend in the price of foreign exchange remittances. Details of remittance rate changes in today's transactions are as follows:

US dollar: the purchase rate of remittances increased by 532 tomans to 177,863 tomans, and its selling rate increased by 537 tomans to 179,478 tomans.

Euro: We saw the most volatility in this sector; The purchase rate of Euro remittance increased by 736 tomans to 199 thousand 374 tomans and its selling rate also increased by 742 tomans to reach 201 thousand 184 tomans.

Emirates dirham: Dirham also went up along with other currencies. The buying rate of dirham remittance increased by 145 tomans to 48 thousand 431 tomans and its selling rate also increased by 146 tomans and stopped at the station of 48 thousand 870 tomans.

It seems that the central bank is trying to manage and reduce the price gap between the free and official market by increasing the official rates in the exchange center. It should be seen in the coming days, to what extent this policy of "adjusting the remittance rate" will be able to stabilize the peace in the informal market, along with the increase in cash supply.
