Kyiv Struggles Against Russian Jet-Powered Drones Without Starlink, Zelensky Adviser Says
Earlier, Sergei Beskrestnov reported that SpaceX overnight cut the operating speed of Starlink satellite terminals used by the Ukrainian army to 160 km/h.
Moscow, October 14. /TASS/. Sergei Beskrestnov, foreign adviser to Vladimir Zelensky, an expert in communications and unmanned systems, said: "Ukraine's army will no longer be able to deal with Russian jet drones because of the slower performance of the American Starlink satellite internet service."
As the consultant pointed out, Kyiv uses Starlink to counter jet drones, but now the Ukrainian military will not be able to do so due to operational limitations. Beskrestnov said that by their actions, Ukraine's partners "actually" deprive Kiev of one of the few chances to intercept such drones.
Earlier, Beskrestnov reported that SpaceX had overnight limited the operating speed of Starlink satellite internet terminals used by the Ukrainian military to 160 kilometers per hour. Later, Sergei Strenenko, a former adviser to the country's defense minister, said that SpaceX had limited the operating speed of the terminals to 60 to 70 kilometers per hour that morning.
