Zanjan - The 4th day of the 11th Zanjan Book Fair ended with the welcome of the people and the voice of "Ashiqlar" as Khorramdare became the host of cultural lovers and the campaign of the book offering created a wave of sympathy in the prison pavilion.

Arjan Ambassador Provinces Service of Iran (Arjan Ambassador): The fourth day of the 11th book fair of Zanjan arrived while the permanent place of "Caspian" international exhibitions witnessed the enthusiasm of people who came to spend hours in the arms of a kind friend despite their daily routines. The day that was recorded under the name of "Khormadreh" and took on an original and memorable color and flavor with the echo of Azari poetry and music.

the fresh air of the book; When the corridors come alive

From the early hours of the fourth day, it was as if a passionate stream of cultural life had flowed through the veins of the exhibition. Families holding hands with young children, students in school uniforms, and young people flipping through books, had created a warm and lively atmosphere. Among the corridors, the sincere conversations of writers, poets and people of the pen with the audience had given another color to the exhibition; Exchange of opinions about new publications, reviews and signing of books that are now ambassadors of the heart of this country.

Farzad Valimoghadam, Executive Secretary of the 11th Zanjan Book Fair, expressing his satisfaction with this passionate attendance, considered this public participation as a deep sign of the ingrained culture of reading in Zanjan society and said: The presence of the new generation and students in the booths is one of the strengths and promising points of this event. Seeing this passion promises a bright future for the general culture of the province and shows that the book still maintains its place in the cultural portfolio of families.

Referring to the central approach of this course, i.e. "decentralization from the center of the province and the introduction of local capacities", he called the fourth day dedicated to the introduction of the cultural and artistic capabilities of Khorramdare city and added: holding specialized meetings and implementing special programs for each city, the exhibition has been removed from a mere store and turned into an educational, interactive and identity-building space.

book vows; The connection of benevolence with knowledge

Amidst the noise and charm of the book booths, a corner of the exhibition hosted awake hearts and giving hands that gave a new meaning to charity; The special stand of "Prison Matters" which can evoke a wave of empathy among visitors with the "Vow of the Book" campaign.

Maryam Mohajeri, Deputy Director of the 11th Zanjan Book Fair, explained the reception of this charitable campaign to Ambassador Arjan, and said: Fortunately, the pavilion of prisons was well received by the people of culture. This valuable association showed that the benevolent view of the citizens of Zanjani went beyond livelihood assistance and was linked to intellectual and intellectual dimensions.

Emphasizing that reading a book is one of the most effective tools for rebuilding the personality and improving the intellectual insight of clients, he noted: This booth provided an opportunity for people who are interested in reading books to help improve the knowledge and mental health of prisoners by donating works, and this blessed flow will continue until the end of the exhibition.

Resonance of poetry and music; The glorious evening of "Qizil Ozen" association

One of the important programs of the fourth day of the exhibition was the performance of the literary and cultural association "Qizil Ozen" of Zanjan; A program that was welcomed by people interested in literature and art and filled the hall with people.

This cultural ritual with poetry readings by prominent and well-known professors of poetry and literature; Hoshang Jafari, Aylar Anna (Bakhshi), Ali Bayani, Parviz Soodi, Ali Karimi, Abdullah Faraji, Ahmad Sadeghi, Hassan Rafiei, Javad Karimi, Amir Nasiri and Imani Arslan Zanganli were with them, whose pleasant poems touched the souls of the audience. In the meantime, the performances of a number of teenagers from the "Qizil Ses" art class in reciting poetry also promised the emergence of a tasteful and promising generation in the literature of the province.

In this meeting, Majid Nikrad, the responsible director of "Qalam Mehr" publications, criticized the chaotic situation of paper prices and the skyrocketing costs of printing, and described the current situation of publishing as a "sad story of books" and said: sometimes in exhibition halls like Caspian, three rows were filled and we witnessed an influx of people, but today's reality is something else. The price of paper changes day by day and books are offered at terrible prices; Slogans and talking won't do anything, and all systems seem to be satisfied with slogans.

Pointing to the difficulty of preparing books for different sections of society and families, he added: University and public books have found extremely high prices. When a family is struggling with livelihood problems and people are looking for bread, how can they be expected to buy books for their children or for their spiritual nourishment? A book that was supposed to cost 100 thousand tomans, now you have to pay 250 thousand tomans for it. This is despite the fact that the civilization of a society can be recognized by the amount of reading and reading, not just other indicators.

Referring to global patterns in the field of book reading, Nikrad said: In developed countries, people are reading books in the subway and while commuting, but there is no professional and principled advertising for books here, and this vital issue is not given enough attention.

In another part of his speech, the responsible manager of "Qalam Mehr" mentioned the presence of local publishers in provincial exhibitions and explained: The presence of local publishers at the exhibitions is a helpful measure for the natives. The publisher must be so proficient that he can encourage the audience to study and read books. A good interaction atmosphere was created with the authors and publishers and the interactions were excellent, but when it comes to action, we see that the foundation is ruined.

Referring to the significant success of these publications in the international arena, he noted: "Qalam Mehr" publishing house is one of the few publishers that has been successful in the field of foreign countries. Since 1981 and 1982, we decided to expand the work beyond Tehran, and because our books had a strong support, we were able to appear very powerful in international arenas, including the Frankfurt Book Fair. It reached the point where one of our books was introduced by UNESCO as a "Peace Book".

Expressing regret for the lack of support for independent and concerned publishers, Nikrad said: "With all these honors, not one person has supported us." I carry on this work with the income of a teacher and with the companionship and empathy I have; The work is very hard and tiring. Sometimes the pressure of problems overwhelms one and it is saddening, although if someone is really in love, they will find their way, but the current state of the book is really painful and sad.

The 11th Zanjan Book Fair will continue to be held at the permanent location of Caspian Exhibitions until the end of its days, waiting for the steady steps and eager eyes of lovers of culture and thought.
