Yazd Friday Prayer Leader: Most Zakat Should Go Toward Securing People's Livelihoods

The Supreme Leader's representative in the province and Friday Prayer Leader of Yazd stressed the need to direct zakat toward meeting society's livelihood needs. He said most zakat should be spent on securing people's livelihoods and supporting the needy.

Emphasizing the necessity of directing zakat to meet the livelihood needs of the society, the representative of the religious jurist in the province and imam of Yazd said: the major part of zakat should be spent on providing people's livelihood and supporting the needy.
