According to Ambassador Arjan, the director of the short film "Swans are standing and sleeping" Mousa Razavi said about the initial idea of this film: The original idea of this film was formed from a specific location. Since this film was made completely independently and no group had financial assistance in its production, using this location was very important to me. For this reason, I thought about it for a long time and finally wrote the story based on the characteristics of the same space.

This woman is trying to find a place to live for herself and her child, and in the same way, she is looking for work until she works in a workshop. Therefore, he tries to use this situation and provide conditions to stay secretly in the workshop.

This filmmaker said about the approach of dealing with a woman in his film: Due to the family conditions and the environment in which I grew up, I am somewhat familiar with this group of people and their living conditions, concerns and thoughts. On the other hand, the characteristics of that workshop were important to me from a dramatic point of view, and I wanted to create a situation that, in addition to having story capacities, could also depict different dimensions of the lives of such people.

He continued: At first, I thought that the main character of the film would be a man, but I came to the conclusion that with such a choice, the dramatic strength of the story would not be formed as much as I wanted. For this reason, I preferred the main character to be a woman. I also thought that in order to form the desired situation and show the effort and courage of this character, it is better to have a child with him. Finally, the main character of the film became a woman who tries to improve her living conditions with her child.

Razavi said about his participation in the Tehran Short Film Festival: I have been working in the field of filmmaking for many years. I started my activity in Isfahan Youth Cinema Association in 1378 and made my first film experimentally. After that, I came to Tehran and worked in advertising agencies. I started my professional career with editing, then I started making teasers, and after that I made some other experimental short films. However, attending the Tehran Short Film Festival is my first experience as a filmmaker in an important film festival. I am very happy about this and being in such an event motivates me, because I can continue the filmmaking path with more motivation.

He stated: As a filmmaker who has traveled a difficult path to reach this stage, I believe that one of the primary needs of filmmakers is the possibility of communicating with producers, investors and people who are interested in the field of short film production. The festival can provide a platform for filmmakers to present their ideas, get to know active people in this field, and prepare the ground for the production of their next works. I have prepared the script for my next short film about one to two years ago and making it is very important to me. I hope I can use the opportunity of attending the festival to introduce this script and provide conditions for its production.

In the end, Razavi mentioned the importance of short film screening: one of the most important events that any filmmaker can experience is watching his work on the cinema screen with the audience. Currently, I have the opportunity to see my film on the screen in the festival together with other viewers and movie lovers. In my opinion, this experience is one of the most valuable achievements that a filmmaker can get from showing his work.
