Iran's Foreign Minister held a phone call today with his Iraqi counterpart, discussing bilateral relations and the latest regional developments, including those in Yemen.

Iran's foreign minister discussed bilateral relations and the latest regional developments, including developments in Yemen, in a phone call with his Iraqi counterpart today.

According to Ambassador Arjan, Seyyed Abbas Araghchi, the Minister of Foreign Affairs of the Islamic Republic of Iran today (Monday), October 20, had a telephone conversation with Fouad Hossein, the Minister of Foreign Affairs of the Republic of Iraq, about bilateral relations and the latest regional developments, including the developments in Yemen.

Last night, Araghchi had a phone conversation with Saudi Arabia's Foreign Minister Faisal bin Farhan.

In response to a question about last night's phone call between Araghchi and his Saudi counterpart, Ismail Baqaei, the spokesman of the diplomatic agency, said at the weekly meeting with reporters: "The consultations between Iran and the countries of the region are ongoing and we are very worried about the events that are happening in the Arabian Peninsula." We have repeatedly announced our readiness to use Jamila's efforts to help dialogue between the parties and we believe that the continuation and escalation of tension will only cause the Zionist regime to exploit the region. In this sense, we do not like the continuation of fire and war between two Islamic countries.

Baqaei continued: Our region is already under tension due to the actions of the United States and the Zionist regime. We have always expressed our position that the Yemeni people have the right to live a dignified life away from pressure, sanctions and siege.

The spokesperson of the diplomatic agency continued: What we have witnessed in these 10-12 years is not justifiable both from an Islamic point of view and from an international legal point of view. In last night's conversation, we announced our readiness to help resolve the issue through dialogue.
