Ambassador of Arjan - Reyhane Mortazavi: Martyr Sardar Haj Ebrahim Hajimohammedzadeh, one of the fighters of the Islamic Revolution era and the pioneers of historiography and narration of the holy defense, with a forward-looking view, provided the ground for recording the events of eight years of imposed war. The founding of the Office of War Studies and Research and the formation of the Holy Defense Narrators Network are part of his lasting legacy. A legacy that today can be a beacon for recording and narrating contemporary wars.

The late Sardar Haj Ebrahim Hajimohammedzadeh was among the personalities who understood the importance of recording and documenting war events from the years of holy defense. Realizing the necessity of preserving field experiences and transferring them to future generations, he played an effective role in the formation of the structure of war historiography and the training of narrators who were present alongside the commanders. Haji Mohammadzadeh, who was active during the struggle against the Pahlavi regime, also took on responsibilities after the victory of the Islamic Revolution, including the first responsibility of the political office of the Islamic Revolutionary Guard Corps. His presence in this position paved the way for more attention to record and analyze the country's political and military developments.

With the beginning of the imposed war, the necessity of accurate recording of events and operational decisions was felt more than ever. In such a situation, Haji Mohammadzadeh played a central role in the formation of the IRGC War Studies and Research Office; A collection that was later known as the Holy Defense Documents and Research Center. He believed that the narrative of the war should not be limited to scattered memories and oral recitations, but it is necessary to turn the events into reliable documents for historical research by being in the field, accompanying the commanders and recording the details.

The founder of a way to narrate war

One of Haji Mohammadzadeh's important measures was to pay attention to the formation and organization of the Holy Defense Narrators Network. Narrators who are present next to the commanders and in the heart of the operations to record the decisions, events and experiences of the war. This method allowed future generations to access details of the war that, if not recorded, might have been forgotten over time. The importance of this action was not limited only to the collection of documents and memories; Rather, the training of specialist forces and the formation of a method for documenting the war were also among its achievements. In this way, the historiography of the sacred defense became an organized activity and the experiences of commanders and warriors provided a platform for further research. Along with these initiatives, Haji Mohammadzadeh's character was known for his faith, sincerity, diligence and seriousness in action. He established a link between the revolutionary and jihadist spirit and the necessity of planning, organizational rationality and foresight; A feature that was manifested in the formation and continuation of activities related to recording and narrating the war.

A character who also adhered to his principles at home

In a recent meeting with the family of the late Haji Mohammadzadeh, his wife and children spoke about the human and spiritual dimensions of his personality by retelling memories of his personal life. Pointing to examples of his ethics and sincerity in his daily life, they emphasized that the spirit of service and adherence to the principles of the revolution was not limited to the political and military fields and was also reflected in his personal and family behavior. At the end of this meeting, Sardar Ramzan Sharif, advisor to the commander in chief of the Islamic Revolutionary Guard Corps and head of the Holy Defense Documentation and Research Center, appreciated the efforts of the late Haji Mohammadzadeh and the students of his school in the field of recording and narrating the eight-year imposed war, and called them the guiding lights of the institutions and those interested in this field in the face of the 12-day and 40-day imposed wars of the United States and the Zionist regime against the Iranian nation. Emphasizing that Haji Mohammadzadeh was a person full of faith, sincerity, diligence and seriousness in action, he reminded that he always established an unbreakable link between "revolutionary and jihadist action" and "organizational rationality and foresight"; A feature that was clearly seen in his activities. This meeting was an opportunity to remember the role of one of the influential figures in the foundation of the historiography of the Holy Defense and to emphasize the necessity of continuing the path that began with the accurate recording of events and the training of narrators; A path whose preservation and completion is of fundamental importance for the transmission of war experiences to future generations.
