Disaster at Israel's Ketziot Prison: From Broken Bones to Fungal Infections

A Palestinian center warned about the worsening condition of detainees held in the Zionist regime's Ketziot prison.

A Palestinian center warned about the deteriorating situation of the prisoners detained in the Janot prison of the Zionist regime.

According to the report of Ambassador Arjan, quoted by Al-Mayadeen, the Palestinian Prisoners News Office announced that the prisoners of Gaza in the Janot prison of the Zionist regime are deprived of receiving medical services and that the regime is fully responsible for the deterioration of their physical condition.

According to this report, the prisoners in this prison suffer from broken bones and head injuries, and some of them do not even have access to painkillers.

The said office emphasized that the pain of the Palestinian prisoners in Janot prison is so much that they cannot sleep at night. Also, the lack of detergents and sanitary materials has caused fungal infections to spread in this prison.

One of the Palestinian prisoners also lost 50 kg of his weight due to thalassemia and blood pressure and lack of necessary treatment.

Previously, the Zionist newspaper "Haaretz" revealed torture, starvation, beatings and deprivation of medical care in prisons and detention centers of the Zionist regime in an investigative report citing the testimonies of five Palestinian prisoners who were released in the last 18 months.

According to this report, Palestinian prisoners have reported the mistreatment and inhumane conditions of detention in Majdo, Nafaha, Katsiot, Ofer and Damon prisons, as well as a military detention center in Hawara.

These prisoners declared that they had lost between 15 and 50 percent of their body weight. They have also spoken about collective punishments, repeated humiliation, the outbreak of scabies and delays in providing medical services.
