10% progress of the Kavos dome wastewater after 20 years
Gonbadkavos- The head of the construction commission of Gonbad Kavos city council announced the progress of 10% of sewage in this city after 20 years.
Gonbadkavos- The head of the construction commission of Gonbad Kavos city council announced the progress of 10% of sewage in this city after 20 years.
According to Mehr reporter, Hossam Mohammadi said on Monday evening about the city management measures to deal with possible floods in a conversation with reporters: Gonbadkavus city is surrounded by two rivers in the northern and southern regions; Therefore, continuous dredging and monitoring of the bed of these rivers is a vital necessity to prevent the recurrence of past incidents.
Pointing out that the responsibility of river dredging is the responsibility of regional water, he said: administrative bureaucracy should not be allowed to hinder the safety of people's lives and property, Gonbad city management has conducted surface water disposal studies and is consulting for a review in Tehran.
The head of construction commission of Gonbad city council added: "In the meetings we have with the mayor and regional water, we are looking for the division of duties. The city council's suggestion to the mayor is that in case of delay in regional water, the municipality should take action on the rental of heavy machinery and demand the cost from the custodian through legal authorities.
Mohammadi also considered one of the old bridges downstream of the city to be a serious obstacle to the flow of floodwaters due to the old structure remaining in the riverbed, which needs to be resolved by the city.
20-year sewage project, roadblock for surface water management
He further pointed to the problem of domestic sewage entering the surface water disposal channels and said: due to the slow progress of the urban sewage network project with only 10% progress in the last 20 years, these tables have found dual use and during rains, the surface water disposal path gets blocked.
Mohammadi emphasized: This project is directly related to the health and environment of the citizens, and we ask the national and provincial officials to make its completion a budget priority.
Demand to hand over Qaboos tower area to the municipality
Referring to the organization of Qaboos World Tower and complaining about the current situation, the head of the construction commission of Gonbad city council said: while the cultural heritage spends only 3 to 4 billion tomans annually for the tower area, the municipality is ready to spend up to 10 times this amount, about 30 billion tomans, for this complex.
Mohammadi added: Although initial agreements were made last year with the Director General of Cultural Heritage to implement the Isfahan model in handing over the management of Qaboos Park to the municipality, but despite the follow-ups of the governor, mayor and MP, this has not yet been implemented.
Pointing to the readiness of the studies of sidewalk construction and landscaping by the country's first-class companies, he demanded to speed up the assignment of this valuable world building in order to prevent possible erosion and damage.
