Yesterday, the 437th meeting of the Islamic Council of Tehran city had a different color and atmosphere at the same time as celebrating the National Children's Week.

Ambassador Arjan-Parissa Nouri: The presence of children of the families of the martyrs of the imposed war in the council hall and the performance of a piece of Afshin Ala's poems created an impressive atmosphere. But this symbolic hosting was a prelude to the entry of council members into serious discussions about "children's rights in the metropolis of Tehran". But what happened in this meeting?

Attention to children in the shadow of economic pressures

While appreciating the efforts of the Directorate General of Citizen Education for Children's Week programs, the chairman of the Council's Tourism Committee, Syed Ahmed Alavi, in his remarks, considered the position of children in Islamic teachings to be a special and vulnerable position. Referring to the economic conditions and the increase in inflation, Alavi expressed his concern about the gradual removal of the essential needs of children from the households. He emphasized: "Cultural, recreational and sports expenses should not be allowed to be out of reach of children due to economic pressures. "Cinema, amusement park and sports facilities are the needs of the growing age and should not be ignored." By presenting a proposal to the mayor of Tehran, this member of the council called for the development of a "special support package" so that the city administration, with its support, provides the possibility for children and teenagers to benefit from recreational, sports and medical services in difficult economic conditions; Because according to him, investing for the vitality of this generation is investing for the future of the city.

The need to speed up the adoption of "Child Friendly City"

In addition, Zahra Shams-Ehsan, head of the Social Committee of Tehran City Council, looking at the state of the infrastructures, emphasized the need for all-round cooperation of municipal units to implement the "Child-Friendly City" resolution.

While evaluating the performance of the secretariat of this resolution in the General Directorate of Citizenship Education, Shams-Ehsan emphasized the need to enter the operational phase and said: "National Children's Week is a good opportunity to take a look at the path taken. "Although the cultural measures have been positive, we are still facing challenges in the field of hardware infrastructure."

Referring to things such as the inappropriateness of the slope of the passages, the defects of the subway elevators and the need to increase the rooms for mothers and children, he stated that these things show the need for more attention to the infrastructure. In the end, Shams-Ehsan asked the Tehran Municipality to provide an evaluation report on the condition of road improvement and by defining independent headings in the budget bill for policies related to mother, child and family, to stabilize the position of these rights in the city's annual plans.

What did Chamran say to reporters?

Mehdi Chamran, the head of the Islamic Council of Tehran city, as usual in every meeting, appeared in the group of journalists and answered their questions.

Metrobus charging devices: Metrobuses have their own charging devices that came with them. We hope that metrobuses and three-cabin buses will help our fleet.

- Opponents of the zero inflation plan: this plan has no opposition in the council, no one is against zero inflation in 6 months; There may be questions about financial resources and how to implement it, but what is important is that this plan continues and serious cooperation should be formed with the government and vendors to continue this plan.

- Shelters: No specific practical measures have been taken for shelters, we had approvals in this field that will be implemented gradually.

- Drying of the trees of the Chitgar garden: 2 years ago, the issue of pest infestation of the trees of the garden was mentioned, and some of them were collected so that their disease does not spread to other trees. The collection of infested trees is still going on. We told the mayor of region 22 to be ready to submit a report in this regard. It is not true to say that two-thirds of the trees dried up.

- Decisions of the board of trustees of localities: the decisions of the board of trustees are issued by the mayor of Tehran so that there is no ambiguity. If a ruling is revoked, it is a municipal ruling. We have differences of opinion in this field and in our opinion, their activities have progressed slowly and we had complaints about the delay in the notification of regulations. The president and other officials emphasize on handing over the affairs, and the Ministry of Interior announced a regulation for the localities, which we have completed and we hope that their problems will be solved.

- Hareem Tehran: Unfortunately, the conditions of Hareem are abnormal and we have informed the Ministry of Roads and Urban Development. What happens in privacy is illegal. We approve the structural plan of Hareem, and the municipality must provide the way to implement it, and we will try to solve the problems through understanding. Municipal plans are sent to the Governorate and the Supreme Council of Urban Planning and Architecture. The first step in this matter is the council. In the past, we saw that the first step was removed and the plan went directly to the Supreme Council, and we also announced our complaint and protest.

- Violation in the construction of the 30-story hotel in Valenjak: who said that a violation has occurred? Investigations were done and this hotel was not on the fault and is far from the fault. I will follow up to see why its construction was prevented. If the hotel is near minor faults, its construction is responsible. In a situation where we are facing a shortage, we should encourage hotel construction, not prevent it.

In another part of this meeting, other council members presented reports on the state of urban projects and welfare issues.

Building a record in the capital; A bridge every 12 days

Seyed Mohammad Aghamiri, Head of the Construction Committee of Tehran Islamic Council: The long time of traffic evacuation in Sattar Khan area caused the traffic to be delayed to other roads, and this issue led to the prediction of the uneven intersection of Sattar Khan and Chamran highway. Other council members are requested to attend the ceremony of using these plans. 146 bridges have been implemented in the last 5 years, which means that one bridge has been built every 12 days; This is considered an appreciable construction record and jihadi effort. By the end of the year, 15 more construction projects will be completed, and the first and third phases of the Martyr General Mousavi project will be put into operation this week.

Warning about the condition of Razi Hospital

Mehdi Pirhadi, Head of the Health, Environment and Urban Services Commission of Tehran City Council: Amending the legal provisions of employees has changed the basis of rights, which is a very valuable measure. More than 18,000 rulings are being amended and it is hoped that they will be implemented this month in order to reduce the legal gap caused by rampant inflation. Also, during the visit to the Razi mental health center, it was observed that this center is in a very difficult situation due to the lack of financial resources. The Minister of Health as the custodian of this field and the President are requested to pay serious attention to the hospitals that deal with mental health issues in a special way.

At the same time as the 437th session of the Tehran Islamic Council, the structural plan of the capital's sanctuary was examined and approved with the maximum number of favorable votes.
