Grand Theft Auto 6 is just weeks away from being released on PS5 and Xbox. As we get closer to the November 19 release date, Rockstar's marketing is coming in fast, including a new trailer, multiple cover stories, and merchandise. It also means that murals and banners appear all over the world. Although in Paris, you may notice that some guns are missing from a huge GTA 6 banner.
Over the past two weeks, people online have been documenting the progress of a huge promotional banner for Grand Theft Auto 6 attached to one of the towers of Les Mercuriales in Paris, France. And on Thursday, it was reported that work had closed on the large banner, which recreates the GTA 6 cover art on the side of the building. However, as pointed out by some fans, the artwork has been slightly tweaked to remove the two different guns.
As you can see in the comparison above, Lucia's gun has been removed from the top middle image of her and Jason. Meanwhile, an assault rifle has also been removed from the bottom middle image of the official cover. As for Lucia, her hand and gun were removed. In another example, the artwork appears to have been optimized to have the character's hand in the air without a weapon in front of it.

But apparently in Paris, the people who own the tower aren't too keen on slapping giant guns on the side of the building. Although they take the cash to promote a gun game in it. Or maybe there are some gun advertising restrictions in Paris that I'm not aware of. Either way, it's all a bit silly.
Hearing that dude say "Grand Theft Auto" at the end of the latest GTA 6 trailer made me feel that way.
