Shiraz- The representative of the religious jurist in Fars, by explaining the religious themes in Hafez's epic sonnets, considered the poetry of this famous poet as a capacity to read the concepts of resistance, standing and contemporary epics.

According to Ambassador Arjan, Ayatollah Lotfollah Dezhkam, on Monday evening, during Hafez Shirazi's commemoration ceremony, referring to the theme of "religious themes in Hafez's epic sonnets", he examined the reasons for the longevity of this great poet's poetry and, referring to the semantic capacities of Hafez's divan, explained examples of the use of his verses in the narration of contemporary historical and epic events.

By raising the question why Hafez has survived throughout history, Imam Juma of Shiraz pointed to Maulvi's view on the secret of permanence of speech and said: A speech rooted in wisdom and meaning can pass the passage of time and remain in the historical memory of nations.

Referring to the verses of Molvi about the transformation of atmospheric water and the permanence of the sky, he added: Permanent speech must have a deep foundation, and religious wisdom and knowledge are among the most important sources of such speech.

Hafez expresses the words of people's heart with the common language of the people

Referring to the introduction of Saadi's Golestan and verses about the difference between the permanence of flowers and Golestan, the representative of Wali Faqih in Fars province considered another reason for the permanence of great poets such as Hafez to be the capacity of their words to express the intentions and feelings of others.

Ayatollah Dezhkam stated that Hafez is not the only expression of his personal thoughts and feelings, and added: His poetry has become a platform where others can convey their meaning and message to the audience by using its language and literary capacity.

Referring to the concept of adaptation in literature, he explained: Speakers and writers often use the poetry of Hafez and Saadi to convey their desired concepts to the audience with a more beautiful, expressive and effective expression.

adapted from Hafez; The link between ancient literature and today's narratives

Referring to the difference between the original meaning of Hafez's verses and their new uses, Imam Juma of Shiraz said: In literary adaptation, sometimes the clues and the original atmosphere of a poem change, and when it is placed in a new situation, a new meaning is formed. While the artistic structure and rhetoric of the poet's words are still preserved.

Referring to the efforts of Hafez scholars to examine the evidences within the text of Hafez's divan, he stated: Knowing the main space of the poem is important for a precise understanding of the poet's thought. However, in contemporary adaptations, sometimes the aim is to use Hafez's linguistic and artistic capacity to express new concepts.

From Hafez's poetry to the narration of epics and resistance

Ayatollah Dezhkam continued by referring to images from the era of the Islamic Revolution and the presence of Imam Khomeini (RA) in the Paradise of Zahra (PBUH), discussed the capacity of Hafez's verses to represent the role of seemingly powerless people in great historical developments, and by referring to this verse that "shows beggars of love like the people of backless kings and headless Khosrows", he emphasized the possibility of rereading epic concepts in Hafez's poetry.

The representative of the Supreme Leader in Fars also referred to the images related to the holy defense and contemporary martyrs, and reread verses from Hafez in connection with concepts such as loyalty, standing and sacrifice.

Connecting Hafez's poetry with religious and Quranic concepts

Referring to the religious themes in some of Hafez's verses, Imam Juma of Shiraz emphasized the possibility of investigating the connection between this poet's poetry and Quranic and narrative concepts.

Pointing to the use of concepts such as patience, prayer, trust and divine help in epic narratives, he presented examples of contemporary use of Hafez's poetry and discussed verses that can be reread in the context of religious concepts and resistance.

Ayatollah Dezhkam also pointed out the presence of nomads and different groups of people in epic scenes, reminded Hafez's verses about identity, loyalty and stability and emphasized the capacity of his poetry to reflect the link between religion, art and epic.

Hafiz; A literary capital to express today's concepts

In another part of his speech, referring to the capacity of Divan Hafez to reread the issues of the day, he stated: by using Hafez's poetry, part of the experiences of contemporary life can be narrated in the form of literary and artistic language; An approach that, while preserving the literary values of this work, provides the possibility of conveying new concepts to the audience.

In the end, Imam Juma of Shiraz emphasized the connection between religious and epic concepts in the recitation of Hafez's poem by referring to verses about standing up to the enemy and surrendering to God's decree.
