The vast and endless world of No Man's Sky is about to get a little smaller and more compact, but this time from the best possible angle! Studio Hello Games has officially announced that its acclaimed sci-fi survival and adventure title will make its way to the iOS operating system, and the iPhone and iPad versions will be available to users on October 28.

According to Sean Murray, founder and studio director of Hello Games, the mobile version is actually the full and original No Man's Sky experience:

I think I should be clear that this version is in no way a No Man's Sky Lite or a stripped down version.

This port includes all of the many amazing updates that have been released since the initial release, including the massive Voyagers expansion pack that was released last year. The only key features that won't be available at launch are online multiplayer and planetary settlements. Murray compared the release of the iOS version to the initial experience of releasing the game on the Nintendo Switch and said:

On Switch, we listened to players' opinions and improved the game step by step; An approach that even ended up releasing a much wider version on Nintendo Switch 2. Based on user feedback and statistics, we plan to support and enhance the iOS version in a similar way.

No Man's Sky game will work on iPhone 11 and iPad Air 3rd generation and higher models. The amazing thing is that according to the studio, the initial download size of the game is only about 5 GB! This version also benefits from redesigned touch controls, full support for controllers, Screen Casting and even mouse and keyboard on iPad. Murray further noted:

Perhaps most importantly, we've spent a lot of time and energy managing battery consumption and device temperature, and we're very proud that No Man's Sky can be experienced comfortably during long sessions without overheating.

The work will have a free trial structure (Free to Try) at the time of release, although the exact price of the full version has not yet been determined.

Now a decade has passed since the initial release of No Man's Sky, and this game has experienced fundamental and tremendous changes. The iOS operating system joins a long list of target platforms for the game, including Mac, PC, all modern consoles, and virtual reality (VR) versions. In addition, Hello Games has always kept the game alive and dynamic by releasing free expansion packs; Including the recent major update of Cosmos in September, which enriched the exploration of the vastness of space with more mysterious content.
