Member of the Tehran Lawmakers' Council Concluded by Saying Efforts to Reduce the Strategic Importance of the Strait of Hormuz Will Be Futile, Stating: The idea that America could use an agreement with Russia to diminish the Strait of Hormuz's importance in global energy markets is unrealistic.

According to Khane Mellat, a member of the National Security and Foreign Policy Commission of the Islamic Council added: Trump seeks to use a possible agreement in the field of energy to reduce some of the economic and domestic pressures on his government, especially in the field of energy supply, so that he can win more votes in the upcoming elections next month. This shows that the actions of Iran and the resistance front have been effective in increasing the economic pressure on America.
