4 Tons of Smuggled Oak Timber Seized in Andimeshk

Andimeshk – The Andimeshk police commander said officers succeeded in seizing four tons of smuggled oak timber valued at 6 billion rials.

Andimshek - Police commander of Andimshek said: Police officers managed to discover four tons of smuggled oak worth 6 billion Rials.

According to Mehr reporter, Colonel Seyyed Shamsoleh Mousavi said in a media interview on Monday afternoon: The officers of the Qilab police station, in line with the implementation of the plan to intensify the fight against the smuggling of national resources, after receiving a report about the possession of smuggled wood, put the investigation on the agenda.

He added: After coordinating with the judicial authority and during the inspection of the desired place, the officers discovered and confiscated more than four tons of oak wood without any legal license.

Referring to the financial estimate of this cargo, Andimeshk police commander explained: The approximate value of this volume of cut oak trees has been determined by the relevant experts to be 6 billion Rials.

He stated: In this regard, a defendant was arrested and after filing a preliminary case, he was handed over to the judicial authority for legal procedures.
