Sean "Diddy" Combs has been transferred from his New Jersey prison to a new prison in Pennsylvania, officials and his spokesman confirmed Friday, days after he was hospitalized with a head injury.

Combs, 56, was serving a 50-month sentence at FCI Fort Dix in New Jersey when he was rushed to a hospital Saturday with "non-life-threatening injuries," the Los Angeles Times reported. Other reports attributed the injury to an altercation at the prison, a report denied by the prisons department. Combs returned to prison later that day — but the return was short-lived, as Combs was transferred to the minimum security FCI Allenwood Low in Allenwood, Pennsylvania, on Friday. A spokesman for the Prisons Service confirmed on Friday: "We can confirm that Sean Combs was transferred to FCI Allenwood Low on Friday, 16 October 2026." "For reasons of privacy, safety and security, we do not discuss the conditions of imprisonment for any individual in our custody, including reasons for transfer." Popular in Variety

A spokesman for Combs said in a statement that the Giants team appreciates the department's "safety and security and everyone involved."

His transfer from one low-security facility to another is an important distinction. While we cannot speak to the BOP's specific reasons for the move, it is consistent with a decision made with safety and security in mind. We are grateful for the attention given to his well-being and hope that he will be able to continue his service without unnecessary disruption.

Combs' time at Fort Dix was tumultuous, especially after an NBC News report in late September alleged that he had access to contraband cellphones to "scroll through Instagram and scan nude and sexually suggestive photos an old girlfriend sends him." On weekends, he has access to liquor smuggled by the guards.

After the report was published, Combs was sanctioned by prison guards for "disruptive behavior" and given 41 days of good behavior, and his release was delayed from January to March 2028.

The musician is currently serving a four-year sentence after being convicted of two counts of trafficking in prostitution in October 2025. His legal problems have continued during his imprisonment. Just last week, he paid NBCUniversal $477,700 in legal fees after losing a $100 million defamation lawsuit over the documentary Diddy: The Making of a Bad Boy.
