This range of motion increases the daily use of the car compared to the first generation Smart Fortwo electric. Fast charging with a maximum power of 65 kW also provides the possibility of charging the battery from 10 to 80 percent in about 20 minutes.

One of the important changes of Smart #2 is the use of a stronger structure for the passenger cell and more resistant doors. These changes have been made with the aim of increasing the strength of the body in a car with very small dimensions.
