This time, Trump invalidated his signature on Russia

Donald Trump, 29 days after signing the approval of Iran and Russia sanctions, now in an effort to lower the high price of fuel in the United States before the November 12th election, ordered the cancellation of Russian sanctions.

Donald Trump, 29 days after signing the approval of Iran and Russia sanctions, now in an effort to lower the high price of fuel in the United States before the November 12th election, ordered the cancellation of Russian sanctions.

According to Ambassador Arjan, Trump's action was taken while he signed the "Lindsey Graham Law" in Congress on the 27th of September and referred it to government institutions for implementation.

Just a few days before the implementation of the sanctions and tariffs against Russia, which were applied based on the law approved last month, the US President issued an order to cancel them. These included tariffs on Russian goods and fines for buying oil and gas from this country.

In an executive order released by the White House on Friday, Trump announced that the lifting of sanctions and tariffs was in the national interest of the United States.

The purpose of the Lindsey Graham Act was to increase pressure on Russia due to the war with Ukraine. However, Trump has taken a warmer approach to Russia, publicly criticizing Ukrainian President Volodymyr Zelensky, saying Ukraine needs a new leader.

Reuters has attributed Trump's move to invalidate his signature on the Lindsey Graham Act as part of his efforts to avoid a landslide Republican defeat in the midterm congressional elections.

This media report states: "According to analysts, while there are only a few weeks left for mid-term elections; In an election in which Trump-aligned Republicans are trying to maintain their fragile control over both houses of Congress, the implementation of these new measures (sanctions and tariffs against Russia) could bring the risk of a further increase in oil prices; And that's in a situation where the American people are struggling with rising costs."

Under the Lindsey Graham Act, within 30 days, tariffs of up to 100 percent must be imposed on all goods imported into the United States by the five largest importers of Russian crude oil or gas. Also, the law would include countries that have knowingly purchased Russian oil or gas within 30 days of its enactment, or are among the five countries that help Russia circumvent sanctions.

According to the President's new executive order, the lifting of sanctions and tariffs will remain in place until he or senior administration officials determine that "further action is necessary."
