Repairing the floating water pump in the well took the lives of 3 people

The head of the emergency department of West Azarbaijan province informed about the bitter death of 3 people in the water well on Darya road in Urmia.

According to the report of Ambassador Arjan from West Azerbaijan, Farzin Rezazadeh, the head of pre-hospital emergency and incident management of the province, announced the occurrence of a fatal and heartbreaking accident caused by well gas poisoning on the Darya road.

Explaining the details of this fatal incident, Rezazadeh said: At 18:15 on Thursday evening, the report of the incident on the Darya road (not reaching the village of Qarahasanlu Khajepasha) was announced to the emergency call center 115, and 3 ambulances were immediately dispatched to the place.

The head of the emergency department of West Azarbaijan province explained how the accident happened and stated: According to the reports of the people present at the scene, the first person entered the well to repair the floating pump, and unfortunately, he suffocated due to the accumulation of toxic gases and lack of oxygen. Two other people present at the place also entered the well with the intention of helping the first person, who unfortunately suffered severe gassing and died due to inhaling the deadly gases trapped in the closed space.

He added: Despite the quick presence of the emergency teams at the scene, unfortunately, all 3 victims of the accident died before they arrived due to severe gassing and had no vital signs.
