New Currency Directive Issued for Banks
Sustainable supply of vital goods and strengthening of strategic reserves in the aftermath of military tensions have pushed monetary policymakers toward activating credit tools and opening special currency lines.
According to Ambassador Arjan, based on the directive of the General Directorate of Foreign Exchange Operations, instructions were issued to grant foreign currency facilities of 60 million dollars from the source of banks for the import of basic goods. This measure will be implemented following the approval of the Central Bank and with the aim of maintaining food security and the continuity of the supply chain until the end of this year.
