The second team is bought in League Two:/ Persepolis' budget of 60 billion to advance to League One!
In its capital increase plan, Persepolis club has predicted 60 billion tomans for the purchase and administration of the "B" team.
According to "Varzesh Se", the project of forming the second team of Persepolis, which has been followed in the past months with the names of different teams and numerous negotiations, has been given specific figures in the explanatory report of the capital increase of this club. In this document, the Reds have budgeted for the purchase of points and team expenses, and they have a plan to promote and generate income from their second team.
Based on the cash expenditure table of this report, the purchase of football team "B" including royalties and team management expenses is estimated at 60 billion tomans. This figure is about 27% of the budget of 220 billion tomans expected for four development programs of the club. Programs that include, in addition to the second team, football schools, the women's team and Persepolis Academy.
Other details in the same document clarify the cost of purchasing points from the overall project budget. Persepolis has set an amount of 35 billion tomans for the franchise rights of team "B" in fiscal year 1406. Therefore, the figure of 60 billion tomans covers the total purchase of points and team expenses. Of course, these numbers are the financial estimate of the club in the capital increase plan and do not mean the finalization of the deal with a specific team.
This program has been set after the change of Persepolis from League One to League Two. Peyman Haddadi said in his explanation on the 13th of Mehr that the cost of buying points, registering the contracts of at least 16 players in the negotiated teams, and the limited time until the start of the matches, made the club pass the options of League One. The condition of one of the sellers for the selection of the head coach was also not consistent with the policy of Persepolis.
In the same conversation, the CEO of Persepolis introduced Nowshahr Municipality, Padiab Khalkhal, Aseman Golestan, Tehran Red Star and Shahin Diesel Shiraz as options for buying points in League Two. According to him, the state of debts, financial conditions and the possibility of obtaining permission for the team to leave the province were among the criteria for reviewing proposals in the club's transaction commission.
But the interesting part of the Persepolis financial report is the goal that has been drawn for this team. In the scenario of capital increase, the club assumes that the second team will be promoted to the first league by winning the championship or runner-up title of the second division league, and in this way it will gain more value. Based on this, the sponsorship and advertising income of team "B" in fiscal year 1406 is estimated to be equivalent to 120 billion Tomans, and an annual growth of 20% is considered for the following years. This figure is the predicted income in a successful sports scenario and is not yet considered the realized income of the club.
Besides these calculations, the football goal of the project is also important. Haddadi explained earlier that Persepolis wants the talented players of the academy to get a chance to play in the senior matches in order to prepare for being in the main team or transferring to other clubs. The same issue also played a role in discarding the options that most of their players' lists were closed.
Persepolis has now written a specific budget for this route in its financial document. The implementation of the program depends on the purchase of a franchise that, in addition to suitable financial conditions, will allow the creation of a team based on the talents of the club. The team that in the Reds' program should create playing opportunities for the youth and go through the path of promotion to League One.
