IDW Promises Epic Kaiju Destruction in Godzilla Versus Everything Crossover - Fall FanFest 2026
IGN can exclusively reveal Godzilla vs. Everything, a massive new crossover event that may be IDW's most ambitious Godzilla comic yet.
IDW is developing an ambitious new Godzilla line with the Kai-Sei universe starting in 2025. Now, IGN can exclusively reveal that the Kai-Sei line will experience its first major crossover event in 2027.
The crossover in question is called Godzilla vs. Everything. This four-issue miniseries sees Godzilla in his latest and most powerful form, forcing the cast of flagship Godzilla comics, Deadzone, Starship Godzilla, and Godzilla Terror to team up to save humanity.
Godzilla vs. Everything is written by Tim Seeley and illustrated by Fero Pe. Here is the official description for the series:
From New York Times bestselling author Tim Seeley and acclaimed artist Fero Peh, GODZILLA VS EVERYTHING is the first four-issue crossover event in the popular Kai-Sei era comic series from IDW Publishing. Ever since the Kai-C era made its unforgettable debut in 2025, everything in the connected universe of comics—GODZILLA, STARSHIP GODZILLA, DEADZONE, and THE HORROR OF GODZILLA—has evolved into this stunning blockbuster. Godzilla has reached his most powerful form and wants to destroy the world. Can the combined forces of Earth - and beyond - stop the King of the Monsters, or will Godzilla finally destroy the world?
"When I started working with editor Jake Williams and IDW on GODZILLA, it was important that the game play as a universe of titles as well as a universe of characters," said Sally in a statement. Godzilla destroys the kaiju and our cast."
Godzilla vs. Everything #1 will be released in March 2027. Fans can also look forward to the crossover in March's Godzilla #17, which will be the final issue of the series. Construction begins this month on Starship Godzilla: Invasion X #1, Godzilla: Revenge of the Deadzone #1, and Godzilla #13. You can pre-order all of these comics at your local comic shop.
This is not the only big news from IDW. IGN also revealed that the publisher is launching "Road to Sonic #100" in the ongoing Sonic the Hedgehog series. And in New York, IDW revealed that they've tapped Grant Morrison to write a new James Bond comic.
