By introducing the mid-engine and petrol Mission S concept, Porsche once again showed off its engineering originality to its competitors; A stunning car that, beyond a simple design exercise, charts the future policy of the Stuttgarters in developing an entirely new platform of high-end supercars to form a kingdom beyond the 911 family.

Amir Masoud Abedin: Although Porsche has not yet officially released the engine details of this attractive concept and has not considered a specific production line for it, Mission S is a full-fledged tribute to the road and track legends of this brand such as 911, 959, 917 and GT1. This car, with an aerodynamic body, a new design language, and a cabin that, contrary to the trend of the world, remains loyal to physical buttons, presents a tempting vision of the future gasoline flagship of Porsche.

The exterior design of Mission S is an artistic combination of historical Porsche elements. The lower nose, fenders and round headlights have recreated the line of thought of the classic models with a new look. Porsche calls this approach “floating volumes”; A body whose surfaces seem to be suspended on the car.

At the rear, the concept of a "car within a car" inspired by the legendary GT1 model stands out, with an active rear wing seamlessly mounted on top. Under the hood, propeller cooling elements are reminiscent of the 917 model, and the car's lightweight rims are a tribute to the memorable 928 model; A collection that, according to Michael Leiters, the CEO of Porsche, screams the originality of a genuine Porsche from the very first glance.

Long live physical controls; A minimal cabin focused on the driver

The interior of the Mission S is as dramatic and disruptive as its body. Porsche has chosen a minimal approach that puts the driver in the center of attention.

Behind the steering wheel, five classic analog gauges stand out with a central odometer, with digital displays hidden behind them to create a 3D landscape. The presence of real physical buttons and switches, the redesign of the sports chrono clock and the replacement of conventional central displays with a magnetic mobile phone holder (MagSafe), show how much Porsche has focused on pure driving pleasure. The white, gray and red color combination of the cabin completes the rally and racing authenticity of this brand.

new flagship; Porsche's rise to conquer beyond the realm of the 911

Concept Mission S is the first cornerstone of Porsche's new strategy called "Sportwagenschmiede '35". Although Porsche executives have not yet announced technical figures, price or a specific time for this model to enter the production line, they have emphasized that this new mid-engine platform will not be electric, contrary to the general market wave, and will remain loyal to combustion engines.

The Mission S is already a vision of the future; But without a doubt, it gives a solid reason for enthusiasts to know what exciting plans Porsche has in mind for the days after the 911 and sitting at the top of the highest category of its products.
