nursing; Narration of love and sacrifice in difficult days of life
Shiraz- Nurses stay with patients with love and selflessness; From heavy shifts and critical moments to livelihood concerns, the narrators are a difficult responsibility to save lives and restore hope in life.
Arjan Ambassador of the Provinces Group - Shahrbanu Raeesi: In the midst of the hustle and bustle of life and the days when people struggle with livelihood concerns, personal worries and daily preoccupations, there are people who face the pain, suffering and anxiety of others every day and try to be a salve for the wounds of the body and soul of the patients; Nurses who sometimes spend long hours in silence and away from the eyes of society in the corridors of hospitals and by the bedside of patients so that the hope of life in the hearts of people does not die out.
Nursing is not just a job or a set of therapeutic tasks; It is a profession mixed with responsibility, patience, knowledge, skill and selflessness, in which every moment can change human destiny.
Sometimes a timely care, sometimes a decision at a critical moment and sometimes even a few comforting words can make the difficult path of the disease smoother for a suffering person.
In the meantime, emergency nurses work in situations where seconds are important, and being prepared to face unforeseen situations is an integral part of their daily responsibility.
But behind this professional and calm face, there are people who have family concerns, physical fatigue, mental pressure and livelihood concerns.
Night shifts, activities on holidays, lack of manpower and the difficulty of staying away from family are only part of the realities of their professional life; Facts that are sometimes less seen in the general view of medical services.
Nurse's Day is an opportunity to appreciate the efforts of those who stay with patients and their families during the difficult days of illness; An opportunity to remind that honoring this group should not be limited to congratulations and honoring, but paying attention to their working conditions, job security, livelihood and mental peace is also a part of this appreciation.
Protecting nurses is actually protecting humanity, hope and the right to receive proper care in vulnerable moments of life.

Maryam Haqparest, a nurse at one of Shiraz's public hospitals, in a conversation with a reporter, referring to her years of experience in this profession, said: "Nursing has many meanings, but during my 25 years of professional activity, I have felt more than anything the meaning of sacrifice, selflessness and patience in this job."
He stated that love is one of the most important factors in the continuation of the nursing profession, and added: Nursing requires forgiveness, sacrifice and love; If love is not with this profession, it will be difficult to continue it according to the current conditions.
coronavirus; The most difficult period of activity for nurses
Referring to her experience during the corona epidemic, this nurse stated: One of the most difficult periods of our activity was during the corona outbreak; Hazrat Ali Asghar (AS) Shiraz Hospital, as one of the centers of infectious diseases, was involved in this disease for about three to four years, and although its severity has decreased, some departments are still facing cases of infection.
Haqprast continued: At the beginning of the Corona outbreak, the disease was unknown and we did not know what was waiting for us. Despite the risk of contracting the disease and the worry of transmitting the disease to family members, the nurses stayed with the patients with all their strength and out of love and responsibility.
Livelihood concerns along with the heavy responsibility of treatment
Referring to the problems of nurses in government hospitals, this nurse said: one of the most important concerns of nurses is economic and livelihood issues; According to today's economic conditions, the salary that is considered for this profession does not meet the cost of living.
In the end, he pointed out: Nurses are working in hospitals with love and all their strength, and it is appropriate to provide conditions so that, in addition to fulfilling this heavy responsibility, they have less concern about the livelihood and future of their families.

Expressing a lasting memory from his career, he added: One night, parents hurriedly brought a child to the emergency room of the hospital who had a bite stuck in his throat and was in a very serious condition. As the family thought the child had died.
This nurse continued: One of the hospital's doctors along with the nurse's colleagues intervened quickly and were able to save the child's life. The child's return to life brought indescribable joy to all of us and that night became an unforgettable night for us.
improving patients; The greatest motivation of nurses
Referring to the pleasant moments of working in the treatment environment, Rahimi said: In addition to all the hardships of the nursing profession, saving the lives of patients and seeing their condition improve is one of the sweetest moments of this job, and seeing that patients regain their health is of great value to us.
He also pointed out the role of empathy among colleagues in enduring the difficulties of this profession and said: friendly atmosphere among nurses and their mutual understanding of each other's conditions during work shifts is very important, especially in departments where work pressure is high.
This nurse noted: Nothing is more valuable to us than people's health; When patients leave the hospital in a good mood and the ward becomes quieter, it creates a deep sense of satisfaction and happiness among the members of the treatment staff.
Difficulties that continue in the personal life of nurses
Zahra Rahmani, another nurse of Shiraz public hospitals, in a conversation with Mehr reporter, pointed out the difficulties of this profession and said: it is difficult for nurses to observe the problems and suffering of patients; However, job problems and work pressures have also added to the difficulties of this profession.
He considered the lack of manpower, the high number of shifts and the low income compared to the volume of responsibilities as the most important concerns of nurses and added: the high volume of work, night shifts and activities on holidays put a lot of pressure on nurses, and these conditions, along with disproportionate income to the amount of work, can reduce the motivation to work in this profession.
Pointing to the difficulty of coordinating family responsibilities with work shifts, this nurse said: sometimes the nurse's own child is sick and has a fever, but the nurse has to leave her child at home and go to the hospital to take care of another illness.
Do not blame the problems of the treatment system on nurses
Emphasizing the need for society to understand the conditions of nurses, he said: We expect people to see the fatigue and difficulties of nursing work and not only pay attention to the duties that nurses perform.
This nurse pointed out: the deficiencies of hospitals and problems in the treatment system should not be attributed to nurses; Because they try to perform their duties in the best way and take care of patients in difficult working conditions.
In the end, Rahmani emphasized the necessity of paying attention to the working conditions of nurses and demanded a greater understanding of the society about the professional pressures and responsibilities that this group of medical staff is responsible for every day.

Because male patients also need male treatment to receive care and treatment.
He added: The nurse's duty is not only to take care of the patient's physical condition, but also to be with him, understand his condition and take care of him in such a way that the patient feels less lonely and worried.
Corona memories; From the fear of patients to the hope of recovery
