Bob Odenkirk is paying tribute to his late Breaking Bad co-star RJ Mitte, who has died at the age of 34.
Odenkirk, who plays Saul Goodman on the AMC series, said that Mitt was "a good person who shared his personal story and his time to help others."
"Whenever I saw her, she was met with positivity and a strong desire to connect with the world," Odenkirk told People in a statement. "It's simply, deeply sad."
Odenkirk is the latest Breaking Bad actor to remember Mitte, who played Walter "Flynn" White Jr. on the show. Watch on Deadline
Bryan Cranston remembered his TV son on Instagram, saying he was in "deep despair" over Mayte's death.
"Born with cerebral palsy, he never — ever — let that challenge be an excuse for anything. He went through the tough shooting program with determination," Cranstron wrote. I always listened to the advice her TV parents (Anna Gunn and myself) gave her – but being a teenager she sometimes mischievously ignored advice to learn the hard way… She was one of the stars of a hit TV show – but she was still a kid.
She continued: "All that promise and potential is such a loss right now. It's especially devastating to hear that he's passed away. Why? We were texting each other just a few weeks ago - we knew when we could meet for lunch. I don't know if that lunch will change his future... but I do know that I loved him and enjoyed being with him all these years. The series, and after the spotlight faded from Breaking Bad... I'll miss you, my son.
Mitte's representatives confirmed the news and said he died by suicide in Brownsville, Texas.
