Sheikh al-Islam: School-Building Philanthropists Strengthen Hope for Life in Society

Qom – Head of the National Organization for Child Education said school-building not only expands educational spaces but also fosters hope for life and transforms society's attitudes and mental frameworks.

According to Mehr reporter, Hamidreza Sheikhul-Islam on Thursday morning at the 28th festival of school-building philanthropists of Qom province expressed his appreciation for the efforts of philanthropists in the development of educational spaces: "It is an honor for me to be in the city of Karima Ahlul-Bayt (AS), Qom, and today, on behalf of the high official of the Ministry of Education, I am the bearer of greetings and respect to school-building benefactors and philanthropists who are working for the future of the country."

Referring to the role of donors in the development of the country's education system, he added: Iran's growth depends on serious attention to the education system, and school building should not be considered merely an executive measure or a partial policy, but should be considered as one of the main foundations of the country's progress.

Referring to the experience of increasing the country's student population in the past years, Sheikh Al-Islam said: the number of students in the country increased from about 11 million to 16 million in a limited period of time, and managing these conditions and providing the required educational space would have been accompanied by more difficulties without the participation and support of different parts of the society.

He continued: The development of schools and increasing the capacity of educational spaces has provided the basis for better management of the student population and, among other factors, has increased the possibility of paying attention to the talents of students.

Schooling helps increase hope in society

Referring to the scientific achievements of Iranian students, the head of the National Child Education and Training Organization said: The success of the country's students in scientific Olympiads and winning gold medals in international competitions shows the high potential of Iran's young generation, and providing suitable educational facilities can play an effective role in the flourishing of these talents.

Appreciating the benefactors of school building, he added: the benevolent actions of benefactors in building schools provide the necessary infrastructure for the education of the future generation, and the effects of these efforts are not limited to the construction of educational buildings.

Sheikh Al-Islam stated: Today, we are building a school to increase the life expectancy in the society and change the structures and mental patterns of the society, because education can play a role in shaping the attitude of the future generation and strengthening the belief in the value of life.

Referring to the difficulties of families whose children have to travel long distances to get to school, he pointed out that access to a suitable school is one of the basic needs of students and families, and the development of educational spaces can solve some of these problems.

In the end, the head of the National Children's Education and Training Organization expressed his gratitude to the school-building benefactors and emphasized: the efforts of the benefactors in creating the educational infrastructure of the country are valuable and serving the future of children and teenagers is a lasting and deserving of appreciation.
