Cultural Issues and Lifestyle Changes Are the Root Cause of Population Decline

Fereydan – Fereydan County Governor says support statistics show that, contrary to common belief, the population challenge is not directly linked to wealth.

According to the report of Mehr Faridan reporter, Bahram Khajeh Saeedi, in the meeting of the family and youth support headquarters of the city's population on Wednesday afternoon, which was held with the focus of examining the solutions of the "Fatehan" (transformational children) plan, with an overview of the population policies and strategic mistakes of the past decades in the field of birth control, he stated: The actual statistics of the support institutions show that the birth rate in the less privileged classes and areas is higher than in the more prosperous and privileged areas. This issue shows that, contrary to public opinion, the main cause of population decline is not just economic issues, but cultural changes, promotion of western lifestyle and authenticity of individual well-being.

Referring to the developments in the region and the Iranian nation's resistance to the pressures and economic war of the enemies, he added: "The country relies on the people's capacities to travel the path of progress and stability, and the institutions are obliged to implement the family and youth protection law with all their might."

Gov. Frieden likened the movement of population plans to a roller coaster that requires synergy to start up initially, but once it accelerates, it will become an engine driving sustainable development.

In another part of his speech, referring to the issues raised about employment, Khaje Saeidi stated: Recruitment in the administrative and government sectors is subject to strict scientific and selection tests and processes, but in the industrial, agricultural and service sectors, the city's production units such as factories are facing a labor shortage.

He added: Feridan production units are applying for recruitment by paying appropriate salaries, but the lack of labor in some sectors has made it necessary to recruit workers and use the available capacities in different sectors.

Governor Faridan announced the city's major development roadmap in the form of four main axes, including the practical use of artificial intelligence, the expansion of solar power plants, the development of tourism infrastructure, and the strict implementation of laws in the field of family and youth of the population, and asked the managers of the institutions to take steps with operational planning in these areas.
