ABS Cyclone RTX 5060 gaming PC, priced at $849, is more powerful and more expensive than a steam machine

The gaming device offers 1080p quality, with room for upgrades in the future.

Are you shopping for a cheap PC under $1000? For a limited time, Walmart is offering the ABS Cyclone Aqua gaming PC with GeForce RTX 5060 graphics card for just $849. Despite the low price, this PC is still (much) more powerful than the more expensive Steam machine, giving you 60fps on most games at 1080p.

ABS Cyclone Aqua RTX 5060 Gaming PC for $849

ABS Cyclone Intel Core 5 Processor 120 RTX 5060 Gaming PC (16GB/1TB)

The ABS Cyclone gaming PC is equipped with an Intel Core 5 Processor 120, a GeForce RTX 5060 GPU, 16GB of DDR4 RAM and a 1TB NVMe SSD. The Intel Core 5 120 is a 6-core, 12-thread processor with a maximum clock boost of 4.5 GHz. Note that this system uses DDR4 instead of DDR5 memory. You won't notice any difference in performance while gaming, but keep in mind that if you want to go to DDR5 RAM, you'll need to upgrade the motherboard and processor.

The RTX 5060 graphics card is a great budget option for 1080p gaming.

The RTX 5060 outperforms its predecessor the RTX 4060 by about 20%-30%, and that's before factoring in DLSS 4 with multiple framerates. It's an affordable option for 1080p gaming, and you should be able to squeeze a consistent 60fps frame rate out of just about any game. However, if you're looking for higher resolutions like 1440p or 4K, you'll definitely want to upgrade to an RTX 5060 Ti (16GB) or better.

If you're even slightly familiar with PC, this is a much better deal than the Steam machine

On a side note, this is a much more powerful computer than the $1,049 Steam Machine, equipped with a very low-wattage CPU and a custom GPU equivalent to a Radeon RX 7600 or GeForce RTX 4060. A minimum performance advantage of 20-30% is expected. The fact that the ABS Cyclone costs $200 less makes this comparison moot.
