10 educational spaces will be built in "Flight Quay" in Hamedan

Hamedan - Director General of Hamedan Province Schools Renovation, Development and Equipment said: Considering the construction of about 8,700 residential units in Hamedan Airport, the construction of 10 educational spaces including 8 independent schools and 2 educational complexes is planned.

According to the report of Ambassador Arjan Behnam Asadi, in a press conference with the media on Saturday noon, he emphasized that the appearance of the buildings is not a criterion for evaluating the safety of schools, and stated that some educational spaces, despite having a neat and suitable appearance, need to be retrofitted or completely demolished and renovated, and currently 12% of the classrooms in the province need to be demolished and renovated.

Referring to the limitation of funds for the simultaneous renovation of all dilapidated schools, he added: the implementation of construction projects in this sector is followed based on geographical prioritization, student density, the degree of urgency of the technical conditions of the structure, and the amount of credits that can be allocated.

The Director General of Hamadan Province Schools Renovation, Development and Equipping, while explaining the implementation process of the educational justice development movement in the province, stated: In the framework of this plan, 111 projects with 666 classrooms were planned, and so far 73 projects including 340 classrooms have been completed, equipped and delivered to education.

Esadi continued: Currently, 38 other projects of this plan are being implemented, which, including the independent projects of charity and partnership projects, the number of active educational projects in the province reaches about 45 projects.

He considered the timely completion of educational projects to be dependent on the allocation of credits and said: Exchange of agreements and follow-up of financial resources from the national and provincial levels are continuously on the agenda, and along with government credits, the participation of philanthropists has always been the driving force behind these projects.

Director General of Hamedan Province Schools Renovation, Development and Equipping, by comparing the per capita educational space of the province and the country, stated: the average per capita educational space of the country is 5.59 square meters, which according to the provisions of the seventh development plan of this indicator should reach 6.1 square meters by the end of 1407.

Pointing to the need for realistic analysis of statistical data, he said: the per capita index should be checked according to the active student population, and currently, out of a total of 2,484 educational spaces in Hamadan province, about 300 rural schools are empty due to migration and the decrease in the student population.

Esdi considered utilizing the production capacity of surplus education properties as one of the key ways to provide resources and reminded: by improving and selling surplus properties, the proceeds will be spent exactly in areas that face population density and a severe shortage of schools per capita, especially in Hamedan city's Region 2.

He pointed to the safety of heating facilities and said: Since the beginning of the implementation of the standardization plan, about 85% of gas heaters have been removed from schools in Hamedan province, and with the financial resources foreseen in the budget rules, our goal is to cover 100% of the central heating system in all schools.

The Director General of Renovation, Development and Equipment of Schools of Hamedan province added about the credits for smartening and equipping classrooms: In the fiscal year 1404, about 12 billion Tomans of provincial credit was allocated for improvement, equipping and smartening, and about 79 billion Tomans were fully absorbed from the credits for the standardization of heating systems, part of which was allocated to the purchase of teaching aid equipment and workshops for schools and conservatories, and supplementary programs for smartening were also included in the rows of the fiscal year 1405.

Emphasizing the provision of superstructure services in the plans of the National Housing Movement, he said: Considering the construction of about 8,700 residential units in Koi Faraz Hamadan, the construction of 10 educational spaces including 8 independent schools and 2 educational complexes with the "Hayat Tayyaba" model has been planned in 6 pieces of land.

Esadi continued: According to the approval of the Housing Council of Hamadan Province, a part of these educational spaces will be built by the General Road and Urban Development Department from the resources of the National Land and Housing Organization, and the other part will be built from the national and provincial funds for school renovation.

He pointed to the improvement of school grounds and said: In the past 45 days, nearly 33 thousand square meters of 2-layer asphalt and more than 45 thousand square meters of single-layer asphalt were implemented in the school grounds of the province, and so far 48 schools have been asphalted and their number will increase to 70 schools in this phase.

The General Director of Hamedan Province Schools Renovation, Development and Equipping, while explaining the latest situation of schools that were damaged in the past war events, stated: 22 schools in Hamedan Province were damaged and Dehkhoda School in District 2 of Hamedan, which was owned by the Congress of Martyrs and had no classes, was completely destroyed and its reconstruction requires a long-term plan.

He added: In the other 21 schools damaged in the war, the damage was only minor and limited to broken windows and buildings, which were completely repaired with the participation of donors and jihadist groups, and none of these schools currently have any problems in providing educational services.

At the end, Esadi appreciated the role of good women in school construction and noted: Currently, 5 school building projects in the form of 38 classrooms are being built with the direct participation of good women of the province.
