LEGO Venetian Neighborhood Set to Launch in November

LEGO has unveiled a beautiful Venetian Neighborhood set launching in November, though at $550 it is not cheap.

LEGO has announced a new 5,682-piece LEGO Icons Venetian Neighborhood set. It is an intricate complex that features several Italian buildings straddling a canal, with a bridge connecting them. This is a crowded Venice scene, as it includes 17 minifigures.

Dimensions: over 19" (48cm) high, 25" (64cm) wide and 13" (33cm) deep

It's a lovely complex that, according to the official description, includes a "luxury villa, a glass-blowing workshop and an astronomical clock tower." The buildings are built in a modular way that allows you to remove the roofs and entire floors to see the interior details. Additionally, the set can be split into two separate sections to create alternate display layouts and keep things fresh.

It also includes a tall gondola that sits beautifully under the arched bridge. The 17 minifigures scattered throughout the neighborhood include gondoliers, musicians, tourists, and two costumed and masked carnivals. It also includes a 3D-printed street piano piece (you can see a close-up of it in the slideshow below).

You'll also receive the LEGO Icons Venetian Blue Taxi Set (40898) as a free gift with purchase when you purchase this set at the LEGO Store. This 322-piece set includes a water taxi and a dock, plus captain and tourist minifigures, as well as two dove figurines.

The LEGO Venetian Quarter is the latest announcement in the LEGO Icons theme, which are somewhat complex sets intended for adults or advanced builders. These sets are meant for display rather than play and consist of things like impressive buildings, vehicles and classic pop culture as well as icons. It's pretty loose, as it comes with everything from a massive LEGO Titanic set to a Toothless-based set from How to Train Your Dragon. You can see all the current sets of LEGO icons here.

Lego supplies are down by the end of the year, and look set to be the same in 2026. Including this one, only four sets have been announced for November, with a total of zero sets announced for December. However, we can expect big new LEGO sets to be released on Black Friday as per tradition. This collection has not yet been announced.
