The communication network of women's non-governmental organizations condemned the assassination of Dr. Nusrat Eftekhari, the cultural and social deputy of Faraja in Sistan and Baluchistan, and demanded the punishment of the perpetrators of this crime.

Nusrat Eftekhari reacted to the report of Ambassador Arjan of the Women's Non-Governmental Organizations Communication Network regarding the assassination of Faraja's Cultural and Social Vice-President. The description of this statement is as follows:

"Communication Network of Women's Non-Governmental Organizations" condemns, with deep sadness and extreme disgust, the oppressed martyrdom of Ms. Dr. Nosrat Eftekhari, the respected cultural and social deputy of Faraja in Sistan and Baluchistan province, which occurred following an armed and terrorist act.

Terrorism and armed violence, regardless of any motivation and approach, is a clear violation of the right to life and human security; Principles that are always considered to be the fundamental pillars of developed and safe societies. As an institution that has been working for years to improve the status of women and families, we believe that targeting women who are engaged in cultural and social fields is not only a threat to an individual, but also a blow to the body of civil efforts and social contributions of women in the country.

Creating insecurity for women who work with the aim of reducing harms and improving society's culture is a serious obstacle in the path of sustainable development and realization of social justice, and these blind actions only provoke the anger of civil society and women's rights activists.

The communication network of women's non-governmental organizations, along with its sincere condolences to her respected family and the country's cultural activists, requests the responsible institutions to identify and punish the perpetrators of this crime with a firm follow-up. We have once again emphasized our principled position of the absolute rejection of any armed violence and terror and we believe that the way to achieve sustainable security is only possible in the shadow of dialogue, peace and respect for human dignity.
