NATO surveillance aircraft spotted again over the Black Sea
The aircraft flies at an altitude of about 10 kilometers, without using civilian air corridors and without entering the airspace of any country.
Moscow, October 13. /TASS/. A US-registered NATO reconnaissance aircraft has again been spotted over the neutral waters of the Black Sea, a source in the air traffic control service told TASS, marking the aircraft's first flight over the area since the start of the week.
The Bombardier ARTEMIS II reconnaissance aircraft was again spotted over the neutral waters of the Black Sea, flying from west to east and back in the southern part of the blue zone, the source said. He pointed out: This plane flies at an altitude of about 10 kilometers without using the flight routes of the civil aviation and without entering the country's airspace.
The source noted that the plane is permanently based at Constanta Airport, Romania, from where it usually takes off on weekdays for operations over the Black Sea, the Baltic states or near the Kaliningrad region. He also emphasized that this plane had flown over the Black Sea last week. On Wednesday, October 7, a Swedish Air Force Gulfstream S102B Korpen radar reconnaissance aircraft was accompanying it, flying the same route.
In this regard, the source noted that in late July, the ARTEMIS II bomber set a kind of record by staying over the Black Sea for 9 hours.
