Stallone reflects on the toll of decades in action movies, citing nine back surgeries, three neck abscesses and other injuries. He says musicians should leave stunts to professionals.

Sylvester Stallone admitted he was an "idiot" to perform his stunts after undergoing extensive medical procedures.

"Millions, millions of regrets. I could literally spend half an hour talking about the injuries, the amount, even one, I'm talking about 30 hours, 30 minutes just talking about the individual injuries because it compounds. I've been injured over and over again, but after 'consumers,' I ended up with nine back surgeries, three back surgeries, three back surgeries. Stallone started... it was brutal.

The biggest lesson he's learned, now in his 80s after decades of crazy stunt work, is to "let other people do their thing."

"Don't be a showboat, a stage hawk or whatever you call it. I know a lot of people think about doing stunts...don't.don't. "Let a professional do it," Stallone said. Let me explain something, when you hit the ground you can't beat gravity, you fail and it comes back up.

He continued: I mean, ask all the footballers in the world. So yeah, that and people say, "Aren't you proud of them?" no I think I'm an idiot for doing this. I am proud to have torn myself apart. Like, no."

“He hasn't reached his goal yet, just when he thinks he's in, another situation, another dramatic episode presents itself, which is exactly what the show needs. We don't want him to be like, "I can finally breathe." Stallone said: No, you don't want to.

Stallone said the new season starts with a bang, putting Dwight under pressure from new enemies and tensions within his crew.

“Well, it's quite shocking to begin with because there are certain elements that happen that are... quite nerve-wracking. And now I'm faced with a whole new level of, you might say, enemies, gangsters, criminals coming at me from New York. Plus I have internal conflicts with some of my crew. So it's kind of like having a cuckoo's nest and trying to reign in everything, you know what I mean?"

"Tulsa King" Season 4 premieres on Friday, October 16, 2026 on Paramount+.

Stallone also talked about a major change in his life outside of Hollywood: moving from California to Florida.

"In New York, I was a New York animal, like we're all here, I just said, you have to be. And then I got to California and I thought I was in Nirvana," Stallone began. "I did really well in California. And then California kind of changed. And it got more crowded and everything. And I felt like I got too complacent and boring."

Stallone and his wife Jennifer Flavin moved permanently from California to Florida in 2024.

"When we moved to Florida, I didn't know a single person. And now we have a great ring. So it's the best move. And my wife too...I think a lot of people like to have a little peace and quiet. You know, they've been around billions of people who actually have water and birds and things like that. There's something that makes us happier, more uplifting, more whole." said

"I thought I did really well because she found the man that I wish every woman could find. So I said, 'Wow, he's making me look bad.'" With flowers and this constant, "Oh, here's breakfast, honey." I went, "Wow, take it easy guys, you're going to make it terrible for us." "But he's very nurturing," Stallone said. So I really wish I was like that when I was younger. I did not learn those skills from my family. Good morning, it was a good morning, punch in the face. He's fantastic and two more are on the way."
