Gorgan - The vice president of infrastructure, transportation and traffic of Gorgan Municipality announced that about 60 billion tomans will be spent to reopen and improve the crossing between Jhanbazan Boulevard and Standard Boulevard.

According to Mehr reporter, Mohsen Karimi, referring to the condition of the intersection between Jhanbazan Boulevard and Standard Boulevard in the past years, stated: This intersection was left unusable for a long time, but with the aim of reducing traffic problems and creating new access routes, the necessary measures were taken to reopen it in the new urban management period.

He added: With the preliminary agreements and follow-ups of the municipality, the implementation of this project entered the operational stage.

Referring to the predicted width of this thoroughfare in the city's comprehensive and detailed plan, the vice president of infrastructure, transportation and traffic of Gorgan Municipality said: The width of this road is considered 25 meters in the urban plans, but in the current situation, its usable width, including the sidewalks, is about 12 meters.

He added: In order to take advantage of the maximum capacity of this crossing, the municipality is following up on the final agreement with Lashkar 30 complex in order to provide the possibility of using the predicted width in urban plans.

Describing the construction measures carried out in this project, Karimi stated: infrastructure, sidewalk construction, installation of protective fences, reinforcement of concrete wall, tabulation, installation of traffic equipment, implementation of lighting and installation of traffic signs were among the measures taken to prepare this route.

Referring to the technical conditions of the crossing, he continued: the difference in height in some places and the limitation of the width of the road made it necessary to strengthen the existing concrete wall, which alone cost about 17 billion tomans.

The Vice President of Infrastructure, Transport and Traffic of Gorgan Municipality listed the implementation of two squares in the area of Junbazan Boulevard and the intersection of Standard Boulevard among other parts of this project and said: installation of traffic lights, route marking and the use of solar studs to increase the visibility of drivers at night have also been done during the implementation of this project.

He announced that the total cost of the project is about 60 billion tomans and added: This figure was estimated based on the costs of last year and the beginning of this year, and due to the increase in costs, the current figures may be different.

Karimi also stated about the supplementary measures of the project: the installation of benches and the planting of some trees have been done, and the completion of tree planting on the side of the sidewalks is also included in the plan of the municipality's green space complex.

Referring to the current width limit of the road, he pointed out: reopening this route can help improve the access of citizens and reduce traffic problems in the area of Veterans Boulevard and Standard Boulevard.
