Taj should not allow the rights of Iranian clubs to be lost / the need for the serious involvement of the Ministry of Sports in the hosting debate

Criticizing the dual approach of the Asian Football Confederation regarding the hosting of matches in Iran and Arab countries, the member of the National Security Commission of the Majlis emphasized: Taj, using its international position, should follow up on the issue and not allow the rights of Iranian football and clubs to be lost.

Fadahosein Maliki, a member of the Parliament's National Security and Foreign Policy Commission, in an interview with the parliamentary reporter of Ambassador Arjan, pointed to the possibility of canceling or denying the hosting of football matches from Iran under the pretext of security issues, and considered this approach worthy of consideration and said: sports events can create change in the society and the opportunity to host such events should not be taken away from the country under the pretext of insecurity.

He stated that during the 40-day war, Iran did not face any particular problem in holding events in Tehran and some big cities, despite having different stadiums, and raised the question why such an excuse should be raised about Iran, while competitions are still held in some Arab countries of the region, including Saudi Arabia.

The former Chairman of the Board of Directors of Persepolis Club, referring to the conditions of the countries in the region during the 40-day war between Iran and the United States, said: If the excuse of insecurity is to be used as the basis for decision-making, the situation of other countries in the region should also be measured by the same criteria. Therefore, it seems that there is some kind of political pressure on the sports institution in this context.

The former chairman of Persepolis club's board of directors emphasized: It is expected that the International Olympic Committee will also enter into this matter, and the Ministry of Sports and Youth and the Football Federation will put serious follow-up on it. It is also possible to use the capacity of the diplomatic system to defend the rights of Iranian football.

The parliament's entry into the disregard of Mehdi Taj in the path of making Iran insecure; Silence in the face of AFC bullying

In the end, Maliki emphasized the necessity of following up on this issue by Mehdi Taj and said: Mehdi Taj, who has responsibility and international status, must follow this issue and defend the right of the country and especially Iranian clubs so that no right of Iranian football is lost.
