According to Shahr Reporter, Abdul Mathar Mohammad Khani, the spokesperson of Tehran Municipality, in a joint press conference with Maryam Ardebili, head of Tehran Municipality's Women and Family Center, pointed to the implementation of the "Cashm-Roshani" project and stated: One of the positive features of this project is that the support package is allocated to the mother of the family, not the head of the household.
The arrival of 26-meter buses in the country
Regarding the traffic situation in the capital, Mohammad Khani said: naturally, we are facing an increase in traffic in the second half of the year, and as we get closer to the end of the year, this situation will intensify. Our first priority in the past few years has been the development of public transportation with an emphasis on electric transportation, and positive events have also occurred in this area; However, the traffic problem is still serious and annoying, and people spend long minutes in traffic.
Referring to the purchase of 2,500 buses in this period of urban management, he added: Metro cars and metrobuses have also been purchased, and fortunately, 26-meter buses have entered the country in recent days. We hope to be able to use these buses on the main high-speed lines as soon as possible.
The spokesperson of Tehran Municipality clarified: We are following the path of traffic reduction and these measures have been more prominent than in the past periods. Since 1402, half of Tehran municipality's budget has been allocated to transportation and has been spent on buying buses, developing subways, and buying wagons. We hope that these measures will be further developed.
Pursuing the extension of zero inflation plan to other cities of the country
Mohammad Khani said about the implementation details of the Zero Inflation Plan: This plan is intended for the citizens of Tehran; Of course, the government and the mayor of Tehran announced that with the special order of the president, a seven-member committee was formed in the government to expand this plan to other cities in the country with the participation of municipalities.
He continued: The Minister of Interior, a number of ministers and the mayor of Tehran are present in this committee and we hope that this model will be implemented well in other cities as well.
The possibility of registering survivors in the Shahrazad system
The spokesperson of Tehran Municipality stated that the Zero Inflation Plan is planned for nearly 10 million residents of Tehran and said: According to the latest statistics, 9 million and 600 thousand people live in Tehran, and identification of citizens is done through the systems in various collections and also registration of information in the Shahrazad super application.
He added: People who are left behind from this plan can benefit from its services by registering their national code and postal code in the Shahrazad system.
Hoping to hand over part of the government's duties to the municipalities
Emphasizing the importance of integrated urban management, Mohammad Khani said: Tehran Municipality has taken positive and voluntary action in the past five years and has accepted the responsibility for issues related to integrated urban management. This approach helps to realize integrated urban management.
Referring to the joint view of the Speaker of the Parliament and the President on integrated urban management, he said: We hope that this issue will reach a final result with the help of the members of the Parliament. The president also believes that part of the government's duties should be handed over to the municipalities.
The spokesperson of Tehran Municipality continued: In the cooperation between Tehran Municipality and the government, a valuable model for integrated urban management is being formed. Even if this issue does not come to a final conclusion in the current period, we will continue our actions on a voluntary basis.
Developing a compensation mechanism for damaged buses
Mohammad Khani said about determining the damages of the damaged buses on the way to Iran: some insurance models do not accept commitments in war conditions, but a mechanism in the form of insurance is being prepared to compensate the damages of these buses so that the people of Tehran do not suffer.
He added: If we want to wait to predict all conditions in international models, we should abandon this path. Therefore, we follow both the process of importing buses and the compensation mechanism.
Investigating new solutions for managing special lines
In response to a question about the management of special lanes for high-speed buses and the lack of isolation of these routes, the spokesperson of Tehran Municipality stated: The condition of special lanes must be improved and there are new solutions in this field.
He raised the question of whether one line should be dedicated to buses in all the main arteries of the city, according to the model of the 80s, and said: world experiences show that such a model is not necessary in all situations, and allocating these lines to buses in four to six hour intervals can be sufficient.
Referring to traffic intelligence solutions, Mohammad Khani continued: Using smart cameras, the HOV plan makes it possible for the route to be allocated to the transportation of other citizens during certain hours, thus creating a kind of invisible wall.
He added: In the smart model, the traffic of vehicles such as ambulances can also be predicted.
Changing the face of Azadi route to the eastern terminus
Referring to the implementation plans on the way from Azadi Square to East Terminal, Mohammad Khani said: By removing fences and installing gutters, an artistic landscape will be formed in the city. Also, the implementation of optical fiber and electric cables will be followed in the context of this plan, and the activity path of metrobuses will also be established in this area.
He pointed out: We follow the changes of this route with the help of the traffic police.
The spokesperson of Tehran Municipality also stated about the construction operation of the special line from Azadi Square to the Sharq terminal: this operation is being implemented and we are trying to get a part of it to a conclusion soon. We hope to be able to put a part of the route into operation at the same time as three-cabin buses enter Tehran.
Reducing the gap between statistics of waste contractors and field performance
Referring to the increase in transparency in the performance of waste contractors, Mohammad Khani said: In this sector, the regions clearly know the number of cleaners and their activities. In the past, there were written statistics, but when comparing these numbers to the field reality, a significant difference was observed.
He added: The gap between the recorded statistics and the field reality is almost eliminated and the information is more in harmony with the real conditions.
The spokesperson of Tehran Municipality stated that this process helps in more accurate planning and stated: "There were leaks from a thousand parts, and these leaks were fixed, and we are in a better situation compared to previous years."
The necessity of reviewing the implementation methods according to the war conditions
Referring to the economic conditions of the country and the implementation of the Zero Inflation Plan, Mohammad Khani stated: In war conditions and the tightening of sanctions, some executive areas, except the military sector, do not act according to the existing conditions; While we have to redefine our tasks and pay less attention to the boundaries of the tasks of the devices.
Emphasizing that it is not possible to manage war situations by insisting on traditional methods, he said: The municipality has duties in this field and over the years, the laws related to this area were neglected. We have a duty to help the government, because the government alone cannot manage all the problems. It is a Shariah and legal obligation to act to solve people's problems.
The return of part of the financial resources of the zero inflation plan to the municipality
Explaining the financial mechanism of the Zero Inflation Plan, the spokesperson of Tehran Municipality said: This plan acts as working capital; This means that the municipality makes direct purchases and the goods are sold, and after people buy, part of the financial resources return to the municipality.
Mohammad Khani stated that the critics should present their own solutions and added: The municipality has other duties, including the purchase of buses. During this period, 2 thousand 500 buses were purchased, which are active in the city, and significant measures have been taken in the field of purchasing electric buses.
He continued: In District 12, which is the heart of Tehran, all buses are electric, and we are trying to make all buses electric in the traffic area.
Referring to the purchase of buses from domestic and foreign manufacturers, Mohammad Khani said: "We are still far from meeting the needs of the people, but we have tried our best." We cannot be indifferent to the pressure of sanctions on the people of Iran. The President's message that any collection can help to reduce the problems of the government and people has been noticed by the municipality and we have taken action in this regard.
