HBO Max isn't just for The Sopranos anymore (it's the only place to stream The Sopranos). The subscription video service HBO Max not only has The Sopranos, but other content from the best entertainment libraries, including: Warner Bros., Discovery Channel, CNN, Cartoon Network, Adult Swim, Animal Planet and other brands.

We at WIRED also watch a lot of content—obviously, because we're always testing TVs, soundbars, and streaming devices—and regularly round up our latest favorites from HBO Max so you know what to watch when you get your HBO Max promo code. Whether you want to watch an original HBO series like Succession or a blockbuster movie like Barbie, HBO Max has the content you want, and WIRED has the perfect promo codes to help you save on these sometimes expensive subscription plans.

Students rejoice, when you want to re-watch Euphoria for the umpteenth time, you don't have to try to unsubscribe your friends' parents to HBO Max (...not from personal experience or anything). HBO Max offers a student discount, where you can save on your subscription with a promo code and get 50% off. This means that the price is only $5 per month. This discounted plan qualifies for the monthly HBO Max Basic With Ads plan, so you'll get unlimited access to all HBO, hit series, movies, news, sports and more on up to two devices at once.

Save 35% with the HBO Max, Disney+ and Hulu bundle

This deal is honestly one of the best I've ever seen, and I've been thinking about switching because with this magical bundle, you can get HBO Max, Disney+, and Hulu for just $17 a month. (Which is crazy because I pay for my Hulu on my own! Again, as I write this, I'm convincing myself that I need to switch to this plan.) That's a crazy good deal for those three streaming services with ads, but you'll save 35% off the original price. If you're as impatient as I am, you can get the same deal without ads for $30 a month, which is definitely higher than the ads, but you're still saving roughly $19 a month with this Evergreen deal.

Barbarian, The Fly and Altered States are among the movies that deserve your attention this month.

Like other streaming services, HBO Max has different tiers at different prices for streaming, so you can choose which one is best for you (or your "family"). Basic with ads allows you to stream on two devices simultaneously in Full HD quality for $10 per month. Standard is the mid-range, where you get everything from the previous basic version plus 30 downloads available so you can watch on the go for $17 a month. If you're bored and into movies/TV, you might want to opt for the Premium option, where you can stream to four devices simultaneously, 4k Ultra HD video quality, Dolby Atmos surround sound, and 100 downloads to watch on the go for $21/month.

HBO Max is known as one of the most famous platforms for entertainment, these new shows and movies on HBO Max are sure to succeed. We're most excited for Task, a new series set in the working-class suburbs of Philadelphia, where an FBI agent leads a task force that aims to put an end to violent robberies led by a clueless family man. There is also a new GOT spin-off series called Knights of the Seven Kingdoms that premiered on January 18. Its events take place a century before the events of Game of Thrones and in an era when the Targaryen generation still holds the Iron Throne and the last dragon is not yet out of living memory. There's also Chair Company from the weird mind of Tim Robinson and IT: Welcome to Derry, an IT spin-off for horror fans.

And especially right now, several of my absolute favorite shows are back for a brand new season or their final season. The long-awaited third season of Euphoria returns with more drug drama. Hacks, the final season premiered, and I'm going to miss the tumultuous relationships that revolve around Deborah Vance's solar system. Like everyone else, I go out every Thursday with the hot doctors in The Pitt. Please don't go, I love you so much. Plus, I've fallen in love with Steve Carell's new comedy Rooster , about a wholesome but silly romance writer who begins his tenure at college.

I missed the GOT boat, and that's a bit harsh for me, but my brother recommended Knights of the Seven Kingdoms, the newest Game of Thrones spinoff, which is a little lighter and more family-friendly than the first one, and I think I'm a late bandwagoner. There's also The Dark Wizar d, an in-depth four-part documentary about extreme mountaineer Dean Potter that I have lined up for next weekend.

Battle After Another, Smash Machine, and The Sinners are just a few of the must-see movies on HBO Max this month.

Watch your favorite shows on HBO Max for free

Because HBO knows how tempting (and sexy) teasing can be, people can sample episodes of new and fan-favorite original Steam series like Euphoria, Industry, or The Idol for free without a subscription. When you're inevitably (too soon after the Euphoria reference?) hooked on that sweet, sweet content, you'll need an HBO Max subscription to stream the entire library. To keep the tease going, you can stream almost endless options like White Lotus and Heated Rivalry, and my personal favorites: The Last of Us, The Penguin, and Hacks right now. Hurry, you don't want to miss the shows everyone is talking about at the proverbial water cooler.

Crystal Lake, Tip Tye, and Carrie are just a few of the shows you should be watching right now.
