Spinach pilaf can be made in a simple and vegetarian way, or for a more sophisticated version, serve it with meat, chicken or even nuts like walnuts and almonds. Carrot cake; You have most of the ingredients for this cake at home
Tomato paste: 1 to 2 tablespoons (optional)
Salt and black pepper: as needed
Lemon juice or some chopped Omani lemon: for flavor
First, wash the rice several times until the water becomes clear. Then soak with a little salt for about an hour. This will make the rice grains stand up better during cooking and make the food look more elegant.
Cut the onions into slices and fry them with a little oil until golden. Then add the grated garlic and fry for just a few seconds until the aroma rises.
Now put the chopped spinach in the pan. Raise the heat a little to drain the excess water from the spinach. Next, add turmeric, pepper, dry mint, dill and a little tomato paste if desired.
Important note: do not overcook the spinach; Because it loses its beautiful green color and its fresh taste decreases.
Prepare the rice by straining. Pour a little oil in the pot and put your desired bottom of the pot.
Now pour a layer of rice and a layer of spinach mixture and continue this until the ingredients are used up. At the end, put a little oil or butter on the rice and let the food simmer for about 45 minutes on a low heat.
After brewing, mix the spinach pilaf slowly so that the color and ingredients are well distributed. You can serve this dish with yogurt, pickles, Shirazi salad or even boiled eggs.
