Charlie Hall rocks an autumnal bikini on her girls' weekend as she defends Sydney Sweeney's saucy ad to an angry mob.

Charlie Hall responds to criticism of Sidney Sweeney

Charlie Hall isn't buying the internet buzz surrounding Sidney Sweeney's new Novig sports betting ad. In an exclusive interview, the LPGA standout directly addressed critics who argue the ads hurt female athletes or set women's sports back. Hall defended Sweeney's business appeal and business acumen, dismissing online commentary as noise created by standard marketing. Watch the full clip as the golf star sets the record straight about branding, sex appeal in advertising and why angry crowds make "huge boos out of nothing".

Nightcaps is a daily column that catches you up on the biggest sports, news and culture stories you might have missed while pretending to be at your desk. It runs from Monday to Friday.

And just like that, we're already in double digits in October.

master Time doesn't slow down, does it? Not even a second. One minute, you're firing up the barbecue for Labor Day, and the next minute you're trying to explain to your kids that we can't carve pumpkins yet because it's still 85 degrees in Florida and they'll rot before sundown tomorrow.

Before you know it, we'll be carving turkeys and decorating halls. Slow down, October please, we're not ready yet!

On that note, welcome to Monday Nightcaps — where LPGA star Charlie Hall dusts off her fall bikini and has a girls' weekend before returning to the links.

what else The referees ruined another college football classic in Tuscaloosa on Saturday night (shocker!), Dolphins and Bengals fans got into it at Hard Rock Stadium yesterday, and how did Falcons fans enjoy their first Tua Tagovailoa experience last night?

I feel your pain...literally. I watched for five years. No one in this league likes throwing the ball directly at the opposing team like Tua. It is strange.

Well, get yourself a map for Columbus Day (!!!), and pay on Monday!

Charlie Hall is having a much needed weekend off

I don't talk politics much in this class anymore, but this is funny. Libyans just refuse to be normal. They refuse to define a woman and refuse to call it "Columbus Day," even though we've literally called it that for decades.

Somewhere along the way (probably 2020) it became offensive and the buzzword "indigenous people" was introduced to the world. What a time to live, what a hill to die

It's funny to me anyway. We do this every year. Do you really want to go down a wormhole? Go see what different states call this day. For example, in Hawaii it is known as "Discoverer's Day".

This is all silly to me. Nostalgic gas lighting. Bullshit isn't too serious, folks. lighten up can we all be normal again

And this is your Columbus Day Ted Talk. You are welcome!

Well, let's get in our boats and head east to check out LPGA star Charlie Hall, who took the weekend off to enjoy it. Some R&R with the ladies:

Comedian Tim Dillon hits out at Sidney Sweeney's critics who are upset about the steamy ad: “How crazy is that? '

Sidney Sweeney has an answer for the Wrath Brigade!

Charlie Hall will not miss again. What content is out of the LPGA's best golfer right now. Che Bukhari He even spoke to OutKick a few weeks ago and blasted the losers who were raging in Sidney Sweeney's Novig nude commercials.

"The amount of reaction [it's] getting, I just don't understand how people's brains work," the world No. 8 female golfer said of the ridiculous reactions from other female athletes who completely overreacted.

Hall added: "They're making a big deal out of nothing. It's an actress modeling for an ad. And I think she owns the company, too."

In a world full of gas guzzlers crying over a gambling commercial, be more like Charlie Hall and Sidney Sweeney.

Speaking of hot Sydney promos... look who released a sequel over the weekend!

amazing About a little drop on Sunday afternoon just before 1pm. NFL slate? Evil move from the Novig marketing team.

I assume we'll see plenty of outrage from the usual suspects next week. Eyes peeled, boys and girls. I can't wait.

Well, let's hold this Monday class on a big Monday Night Football. first? I know it's been two days, but I still can't go without the call on Saturday's Bama-Georgia game:

I'll be honest... I wasn't 100% sure it was a real-time PI. I thought it was going to be a full speed bang bang game, and somehow I noticed the lack of contact. I know Fowler and Herbie were convinced, but even the ESPN booth referee didn't know for sure...

And then they showed the replay, and ... it was so obvious. This is a PI. PI textbook. Kind of reminded me of the infamous Rams-Saints no-call from the NFC title game.

Now I'll say this: I think Cullen DeBoer's reaction to that was a bit much:

He is crazy. We were all at least we had more than 51.5 bets. I get it. But come on, you're the head coach of Alabama. This is a small amount. Can you imagine Saban reacting to a call like that?

Scratch that! It doesn't matter. Truthfully, Saban wanted to eat these foods before breakfast at Kroger the next morning.

My Dolphins lost again yesterday. What a perfectly executed tank so far! They are 0-5, but have been competitive in every game and the rookie class is playing great. It really couldn't be drawn any better.

Now let's see how other Dolphins fans feel about it. Surely I can't be the only one feeling good today...

That's right! Everyone at Hard Rock seems to be taking the 0-5 start down one step at a time! Five games behind, folks. 11 to go

On the other hand, we do not have at least Tua. I'm so sorry, Falcons fans. Seriously, I sympathize with you. i do

An unapologetic, unforgivable Craig-carton show. Download his daily podcast now!

That being said...this was objectively funny last night.

amazing Tua's classic. No one does it better!

Well, that's it for today. Good start to the week everyone, let's keep the momentum going as we enter the second full week of October.
