Salaud Morisset has acquired worldwide rights to Ce qui nous mène à toi, the feature film debut of French-Moroccan filmmaker Khalil Cherti, produced by Amaury Ovise of Kazak Productions.

While the film won two awards at this year's Angoulême Film Festival after its world premiere, it will begin its international tour with the Cairo International Company. The story follows Charlie and Hitcham's love story and desire to start a family as they struggle with infertility and assisted fertility treatment. Over the course of three years, they will test their love and their bodies with hope and heartbreak.

The film stars César Award-winning actress Nina Morris ("The Story of Solomon," 2024; "The Rapture," 2023) as Charlie, Sofiane Khames (Me and My Brothers, 2021; "No Big Thing," Best Jane, Heishbar, 2019) won Best Actress in 2018 for "Barbara."

Communication and relationships are recurring themes in Ceretti's works. He chooses complex family bonds ("Where does the pain come from", 2013 - selected in Locarno and prize in Clermont-Ferrand) or the depth of love in the face of life's challenges ("Je, d'un incident ou d'amour", 2025 - selected in Tribeca-F'embrarandsermon; 2021).

For his first feature film, the director says he wanted to portray one of the most important relationships in a person's life, because to him, being a husband and wife is simply "an odyssey."

"I made this film because there's something slowly moving about two people trying to reinvent themselves together, through years of hardship," Cherty added.

Paul Julien, head of sales at Salaud Morisset, said: "With 'Our Way to You,' Khalil Cherti explores the universal themes of parenthood, love and family with remarkable depth and sensitivity, turning an intimate story into something that resonates with us all."

Producer Amaury Ovise said the film "sensitively portrays the joy and pain of a couple facing the challenges of assisted reproduction. Charlie and Hicham embody that fragile part of ourselves whose story deserves to be told."
