A ceremony in which literature became a platform to reread manifestations of self-sacrifice, responsibility and dedication of the nursing community during the war.

Narration of a nurse's life; From childhood to martyrdom, the book "To the Last Shift of Life" centered on the life and martyrdom of Shahida Mahnaz Nemati tries to familiarize the audience with the human aspects of the life of this martyred nurse and the difficulties of the nursing profession in normal and critical situations. In addition to recounting the story of a martyr, this work focuses on the heavy responsibility of the medical staff during the days of war and the sacrifices that sometimes happen away from the public eye.

In the review section of the book, Zainab Al-Sadat Garami, book expert, referring to the selfless role of women in various fields, considered it a cultural and social necessity to deal with the lives of female martyrs, especially martyrs in the field of health.

Stating that the author has narrated the life of Shahida Mahnaz Nemati in this work from her childhood to the moment of martyrdom, she emphasized the necessity of recording and rereading the experiences of martyred women in literary and cultural works and said: Women have played an important and influential role in various fields, including the field of health, and their sacrifices should be reflected in books and cultural works more than in the past.

According to this expert, the narration of the lives of martyred women is an opportunity to represent the less seen dimensions of sacrifice and to familiarize different generations with their role and responsibility in important historical events.

I wanted to narrate the difficulties of nursing during the war. Mahdia Eslami, the author of the book "To the last shift of life", in this meeting, referring to her motivation for writing this book, stated the main goals of the book to narrate the difficult scenes of the 12-day war and show the role of nurses in these days.

Emphasizing that sometimes the goals are more powerful than the difficulties of the path, he said that focusing on the goal and continuing the path turns the difficulties into a valuable experience and achieving the result can be the result of persistence and effort.

Islami said about the choice of Martyr Mahnaz Nemati as the main character of the book: Choosing this martyr was a gift from God for me. Mahnaz Nemati suffered more than 50% burns during the 12-day war, when her home was targeted by a drone attack, and she was martyred.

Referring to the professional records of this martyr, he added: Mahnaz Nemati worked as a nurse in the burn and heart departments, and then she worked as a nurse at the National Bank. The narrative of her life provided an opportunity to reflect the difficulties, responsibilities and work pressures of the nursing community along with the story of a martyred nurse.

Referring to the challenges of the nursing profession, including the lack of manpower, the high number of beds under care and long shifts, the author of the book clarified: Even in critical situations such as war and natural disasters, nurses must be present at the place of service and continue caring for patients; A heavy responsibility that doubles the importance of their presence and commitment.

He added: Shahideh Mahnaz Nemati in this book, beyond the narrative of a martyrdom, represents a society that is responsible for taking care of human lives in normal and critical situations. In addition to narrating the moments leading to her martyrdom, I tried to depict some of the difficulties and realities of the nursing profession.

Literature can narrate the valuable efforts of nurses

Ava Kalhriketa, artistic cultural director of the eighth region and head of the Golestan Culture Center, also considered Nurse's Day as a valuable opportunity to appreciate the efforts of the nursing community and said: "Nurse's Day is an opportunity to protect people who, with knowledge, commitment and kindness, are present next to patients in difficult moments of life.

Emphasizing the role of books and literature in reflecting the efforts of the medical staff, he said: Books and literature can be the narrators of these valuable efforts and provide the basis for the society to know more about the responsibility and status of nurses.

Referring to the approach of this collection in holding cultural and book-oriented programs, the head of Golestan Culture Center added: Golestan Culture Center tries to promote the culture of study, deal with important human and social issues, and provide a context for strengthening empathy and appreciation for the human resources of the society.

He expressed his hope that holding such programs would be an effective step towards protecting the efforts of the nursing community and paying more attention to the human narratives of this field.

Honoring the families of three martyred nurses; Observing the memory and way of sacrifice, another part of the "White Authority" ceremony was devoted to honoring and appreciating the families of martyr Mahnaz Nemati, martyr Homan Ghiathund and martyr Mahdiar Puriyamin; Families whose memory and name of their loved ones are tied with sacrifice and responsibility in the way of serving people and caring for human lives.
