EXCLUSIVE: Los Angeles-based producer and investor Christa Campbell has launched film, television and media company XTA Media, which has received funding from London- and Denmark-based private equity firm Three Thousand Capital.

Campbell's credits as a producer and executive include Hellboy, Rambo: Last Blood, Iceman, Leatherface, Hitman's Bodyguard, Hitman's Wife's Bodyguard, Texas Chainsaw 3D, Tesla, Red Sonja, and the Oscar-nominated Fireworks.

According to Campbell, the new company will come with a significant capital injection and will acquire IP, develop original and adapted material, finance productions and produce content for film, television and other media platforms.

Campbell's upcoming projects include the new John Rambo film and the KISS biopic Shout It Out Loud, which has been set up at Lionsgate.

"I started XTA Media to build a company that owns its stories from the first idea to the final cut," said Campbell. "Having this level of capital from day one allows us to pursue projects we believe in, whether big franchises or original voices, on our own terms. Three Thousand Capital understands both the creative and business sides of the industry, and they're the perfect partner to build with."

Since 2012, Three Thousand Capital has made over 100 private equity investments in entertainment, music, platform economy and big tech. Early investments include Uber, Airbnb, Shazam, SoundCloud, Duolingo, Spotify and X (Twitter). The company is also developing a feature film in Scandinavia, which is slated for release in 2027.

Michael Payne of Three Thousand Capital said, “Christa has a rare track record of turning big IP into global hits while also backing major films like Winter on Fire. We've spent over a decade supporting founders who are transforming their industries, and XTA Media is just such an opportunity. We are very excited about this new venture and proud to be a founding partner."
